Quitting game, drop rates too low

You didn’t really read my post, just that sentence. Ok, cool.

How many times? Personally I near six.

Since it’s tied to favor you can’t.
Usually someone focused on trading checks their items once daily and reprices them all accordingly to position themselves properly on the market.

Now, currently I have 450 items listed in the Bazaar, imagine farming up the favor to reprice them every single day.

Hence no… it doesn’t allow proper repricing as any sort of economy would need.

How’s saying it becomes good since that one nonsensical mechanic is tied to the other nonsensical mechanic in any way shape or form reasonable?

First of all… reputation shouldn’t be tied to favor at all, it should just rise according to experience gain like favor does. They scale off from the same source but rep is simply enforcing to spend favor willy-nilly rather then using it in a meaningful manner.

Secondly, putting a favor cost in for listing itself is fairly bad, a limitation on listing would’ve been the smarter choice to stop flooding the market. Also a gold taxation system to create a sink and avoid inflation over time should’ve been implemented into the whole economy, but that was missed.

Thirdly, the buyer should bear the brunt of the task to provide the ‘market currency’. ‘Want to get our item? Well, it’s a great one, better be in good standing with us!’ makes even lore-wise sense. Adjsuting favor cost to sale-price for the buyer not only makes it an endeavor to actually get the more valuable items but also takes immediate care of the whole RMT problem currently existing and enabled through MG.

Depends on the market state. Currently I have around 130 items I would enjoy to list since they’re valued above 20k and hence would provide me a reasonable income when sold. I’m currently listing only items worth 75k and above since I’ve run into major favor limitations.

If this limiting factor wouldn’t be there the market would’ve more access to those affixes and uniques, this would drop the prices at which they’re sold since supply is higher and hence taking care of nonsensical situations like a common 2 LP item being a week long farming endeavor to create a decent outcome with. The exact thing people complain about.

Which is tied to favor being tied to rep. You have to flood the market with worthless garbage which is a bad thing. It shouldn’t happen in the first place.

That would utterly ruin the economy even more so then it’s already the case.
Listing should not inherently cost something but needs to be limited in another way to create a proper long-term functionality and a healthy economy.

Doesn’t matter since people are finished with their whole game progress long before that and should reasonably have access to those items beforehand based on market availability and not arbitrary extra limitations.

It also won’t help Cycle 2… 3… or 4.
It’ll stay as a major problem and huge detriment for cycles, legacy on the other hand will ‘become fine’ over time.

Nah, it’s presented that way to the player, CoF was specifically made to provide solo-players an alternative to the market… so no.
It’s not the natural state at all.
The community is split roughly 50/50 for market usage or not, EHG wanted to create a system which pleases both sides to a more or less equal amount and it’s actually a decent try to do so.

Agreed, which is why I think the whole faction setup as a baseline is non-functional in the current state and needs a major revisit and reimagination.

Provide proof for that argument please then.

I feel kind of the same issue as OP. At about the point when you want to slam Uniques it becoms days on end with zero upgrades, so I said I have to try Merchant’s guild if I wanna progress. Well, that didn’t go well either. The trading systems are very lacking and filled with unnecessary hurdles I went back to CoF again. Why? Very hard to properly price an item. If I want to price an Exalt, I have to either put all affixes I have, but the Tier chosen will apply to all of them instead of individually. So if I wanna check an exalt with T7 Crit Multi and the rest of afixes T1 upwards, I cant. If I put all affixes at T1 to make sure I get that combination, than it will show me items that don’t have T7 Crit Multi and I have to look at many items that are not lik mine. Why not having the option to ad a minimum Tier for each affix?
Than the running around trying to find the right vendor. So annoying.
I’m not here to hate on the game. I’m a big fan. 450h of grinding. I am here hoping the devs hear all of us and what everyone feels it needs improving.

If you go on auction house you will see hundreds of items being duped.

Look at this SS and find something strange?
This has been on for many weeks now.

I never heard of a ban or any action against cheaters that break the economy and then started to RMT money.

Why would EHG announce every ban they make? All live services have constant bans being made all the time and they don’t announce it, especially because it serves no purpose.
The fact that EHG made a change to family sharing specifically to address RMTers/bots circumventing their bans shows that they’ve been addressing this issue internally.

In regards to the item duping, I don’t know what they’re doing, but I’d expect the most effective way would be to find the duping method and fix it.

Blind faith does not work here. They are clearly failing to tackle the problem they could at least release a public statement acknowledging the issue, and writing who they banned.

At the very least the game is no F2P if you are aggressively banning people, they won’t be buying new accounts to sell gold.

If they’re banning multiple people a day, posting who they banned would serve no purpose since people would simply ignore it due to sheer volume.
And has been pointed out in other threads, RMTers use stolen credit cards and other illicit ways to keep buying new accounts. Bans are just a way to slow them down, not to stop them.

Sadly, this is an issue that has no ultimate solution. Every single game with trade has RMT and bots. D2 was a bought game and was riddled with them. Wow has always had huge numbers of RMTers, even when you had to pay a subscription.

The problem is simply that there are people willing to pay for RMT and it’s lucrative for them, even when they have to re-buy the game, which they do via illicit means.

Good lord. That’s a death knell for the game then unless EHG can shut it down.
