I have nothing to say except that if I wanted to play Arena i would play Arena and not Monolith
Its unlogical, the drops are almost non existant so its punishing to play it
for some people its really boring as well and it is preventing you sometimes to progress in the way you want to cose sometimes you really need to play it just do do next echo
hard disagree⦠the arena monos are a nice break from the normal monos when you are on a grind session⦠they are a nice and quick break. Never ran into one that was even close to difficultā¦
Agreed. Instead, there should be more echoes diversity to feel the grind less of a chore. Arena echoes should and need to stay. Maybe a little bit of mob density would help, but theyāre fun already.
Running in circles or turtling in one spot while a bunch of things charge you and having to kill every single one of them with no way to speed up completion is lame, boring, and tedious.
If youāve ever played a monolith, you probably already know that the objective and map, even the enemies, are randomly generated. So if you get killed in the arena in monolith you may get a normal map after turning on the monolith map again without the main bonus, for example with destroying towers that shoot ice circles at the player.
I understand how arena got so unrewarding, they simply need to fix it. You see, they completely disable non-gold non-potion drops from all the enemies so you can focus on the action rather than having the battlefield cluttered.
Unfortunately, this does not synergize with the reason you are in a monolithā¦farming. This system only makes sense when pushing leaderboards, thus it is even silly to have this in the non-endless arena tiers also.
I donāt think they should remove the arena from monolith, they should reduce the number of waves and add rewards to non-endless versions of all arenas to drop from all enemies.
Yeah, youāll have a ton of loot in piles when done, but you do when you clear normal monoliths too. They also need to redesign endless arena too. Somehow Diablo 3 and freaking Diablo Immortal can get this āno loot until the endā system right, but LE has trouble.
Not true, if the map is an arena map it will always be an arena map no matter how many times you die or log out, when you come back to that map it will always be the same arena map. All the maps work that way. The randomness happens when itās not an arena map, then the objective, starting point, and goal location can and most likely will change.
I donāt like Arena maps in the monos at all. If I want to do an Arena to take a break from regular monos, then I can always just go to the arena and do that.
Arw you sure ? I can make you video of my gameplay ā¦
Last time i died bcs i was afk after start of mono arena and in replaying same mono island i get another map without arena.
I remember that because i was excited to finally play new objective in monos after 30 of them was almost same maps ā¦excited until my cat broke glasses in kitchenā¦
Iām torn on this. While I agree that arena echoes probably shouldnāt be in monolith anymore (if people are blocking arena, that is even more of a reason), there is a serious lack of objective diversity in the monos.
Miniboss, Patrols, Pool, Spires. There needs to be many more objectives in the monoās to randomly get before I would feel comfortable moving arena echoes out. Maybe the arena echoes could even be modified so they werenāt exactly the same as arena.
As an aside, there also needs to be more interesting things in each mono map so they arenāt so monotonous. Random side rifts, random boss encounters, etc.
The whole thing is once again⦠player agency!
Making a larger variety of goals leads to some being not liked or even hated by some people.
Removing goals does the same, those which liked that mechanic will be pissed off.
So the solution? Allow to adjust monoliths in general. Checkbox for all the goals and then off you go to do that. So if you only want patrol ones⦠sure! If you only want Arena ones? Sure! And so on. A single one you hate simply? Uncheck. Issue solved.
Very good point. Sooner or later it will surely come. I for one (offline & COF) would also like to see the Pool of Money echoes to be removed from the Monolith.
But, with money I can at least buy even more stash tabs. The arena echoes though are (for me) boring and unrewarding. I usually try to path around them if possible and otherwise plot a new route.
So the OP gets my vore und more player agency is implemented.
Have you never done a charge the beacon or seal event? Those are like arenas but even worse, and you donāt even have the option of avoiding them. Itās an arena that you have to go find, and then you donāt even get any stability for doing it, and you canāt fulfill prophecies from anything that spawns during it.
As others have mentioned, I like them to be there for the change of pace, atm.
Once they have some other mechanics implemented to mix up the echo experience, I personally would have no problem to remove them.
I could imagine taking inspiration from PoEās atlas skill tree, where you can make certain mechanics (in this case: arena echoes) appear less often, or even ban mechanics completely - once there is enough choice.
This is just another preference thing honestly and not necessarily a bad thing for the game. Also for me the arena is the one that provides the most stability. Why? Because I just run to the objective in non arena monos and thats it while in the arena I need to stay for all the waves which as a result gives me all the bonus stability.
I agree though I also do not understand why the arena is in monos when you have arenas as a different option to end game. It is confusing for me as well.
