Thank you to everyone who submitted your responses in our last poll. Your participation has been amazing and we love hearing from you all. As our quality polls continue, this one is focused on Items!
This poll will be open until Monday at 11 AM CDT.
Stack rank the following bugs or issues that negatively impact your combat experience in Last Epoch.
Stats or modifiers not applying correctly (Damage, defense, or other values not calculating as expected)
Unique or set item effects not triggering or functioning correctly (Procs, on-hit effects, set bonuses)
Affix behavior issues (Affixes not triggering, applying incorrectly with skills/passives, or having no effect)
Item loss or duplication bugs (Items disappearing from inventory, stash, or dropping incorrectly)

In this thread, describe any issues in detail, including the items involved, what you expected to happen, and how frequently the issue occurs.
We use the poll data to understand the biggest pain points players are experiencing in specific areas of Last Epoch. Combined with our own game knowledge and community interactions, this helps us assign an impact score to bugs. An impact score is a way of gauging how much fixing something will improve the player experience overall.
This score helps our development team prioritize what to work on, though itâs one of several factors in that decision, but not the only one.
The first 3 poll questions are the same. Affixes should just work regardless of if they are stats, unique or triggers so I cannot rank them in order of Importance because they are all ranked as most important.
The question asks you to rank them by the negative impact they have in the game.
I donât know about you, but if an affix is supposed to, for example, convert a skill to fire and itâs not working, that has more impact than an affix saying it gives me +5 int not working.
All of them are issues that need to be fixed. These polls just want to know what players feel like should be fixed first, since itâs not possible to fix them all at once in a timely manner.
Thereâs an implication that the QA team doesnât know what bugs are in the game. It feels like players are being solicited to do QA.
If the QA team doesnât know what bugs are in the game, it implies the QA teamâs approach to QA is not catching relevant issues. Or that the team doesnât have the staffing to address a game of this size.
Because players are (and should almost always be) lower knowledge about the game than the creators of the game, the question will result in a lot of false positives about issues. Do most players actually know if something is or isnât applying itâs stats correctly? How testable even is a lot of this with the implicit rng and limited test dummy functionality?
If soliciting high knowledge players for specific issues, this poll isnât as useful as the classic Expected, Actual, Steps to Reproduce paradigm.
I appreciate a lot of what the LE team is trying to do to improve the game with surveys, but I donât understand the vision or the execution.
I feel like Iâve been pretty negative on these, so Iâm going to stop posting after this one. I just wish there was a more coherent idea/communication around this that I could understand.
Last thing Iâll say is, the baseline expectation of anyone playing an ARPG online is that all known item duplication or deletion bugs will be fixed* ASAP. Itâs understandable that some items/interactions might be bugged, but anything that effects the economy or biases power to someone who is exploiting shouldnât be addressed based on how many people upvote it on a survey; it should be addressed period.
The fact youâre going to charge for special classes or whatever in the near future, and youâre doing a survey to ask us which bugs you can put less attention to, for things that all impact build crafting, is the funniest thing possible.
And im not including that last one in there, becuase no player should need to tell you that things related to duplication and deletion shouldnt ever exist, and i dont know how to even address that youâre asking about the important of it lmao.
Canât really pick an answer, theyâre all pretty much the same level of meaningless (to me). My main issue with items is the disparity of âhigh tier itemsâ that have impossible LP2+ chances being weaker than âlow tier itemsâ where LP3+ drops are super common. The typical example is World Splitter vs. Traitorâs Tongue. Or Titan Heart vs. Wings of Argentus.
I dont think chris wilson would ever say its a good idea to ask players which bugs should get priority. At the very least heâd point out what everyones saying, that it makes ehg look like theyâre now just admitting they cant keep up with the bugs they introduce.
How about fix all the bugs? Not trying to dehumanize here, but yall need an actual leader in that building so bad. Been going south so fast since the .9 patch. But, as we all feared, a company started by a venture capitalist thatthensoldouttoanAIcompanybeforeannouncingaddedmonetizationthatwaspromisedtoneverhappenthatthenwalkeditbackanddecidedp2wclasseswasbetter would not work out for the end users and those that fell for the kick starter âpromisesâ.
