(I fixed my mic issue after the 3 minute mark, apologies for that)
I bought the game off steam… downloaded it… and have now spent 99 minutes in the game but have yet to even swing a weapon once.
Loaded in, waited 3+ minutes just to be able to select the options.
entered email address, waited 3+ minutes before the game decided it was okay with my entry.
waited 5+ minutes just to get to the character select screen. selected the sentinel, and even after watching the cinematic, it wont actually show up on the available characters screen.
waited another 3+ minutes after restarting the game and tried to make a acolyte.
Sent still doesnt show up. Acolyte wont enter game…
made a primalist…
NONE of them will enter a game… and thats when I wait 3+ more minutes between menu screens.
WTF is this?

My first guess would be trying to disabling the overlays (Geforce Experience and maybe Steam?). If that is not helping: Is there something logged in the windows event log?
I had this case a few years ago, where a service tried many many many times per second to get access to a service it could not access (for some reason).
From the little info you have provided, your system is just a tad (5%) slower than mine so you should be able to play LE like I do on 1080p, 60fps, everything on very low/low without much trouble.
Quick question… Are you using a USB controller? Xbox/PS? Reason I ask is that someone else on the forum had a similar odd delay waiting for things to load and when he unplugged his controller, everything was a few seconds instead of minutes…
Also:
Definitely disable Geforce & Steam Overlays… These almost always cause odd hiccups and its best to try and stay away from things like this when trying to figure out what is happening on your system…
here is my Dxdiag. I use mouse and keyboard.
none of my components are console brand.
I also disabled both Steam and Geforce overlays but the problem persisted with little to no noticeable improvement.
This is not a hiccup, this is a 3-5 minute cardiac arrest while the music continues unpaused.
edit:
I have no Game Log fil;e as I have not actually been able to have a game session. le_graphicsmanager.ini (485 Bytes)
Also, I see no output_log.txt file.
Hmm… Damn - was hoping this would be simple… but when is it ever…
Aside: I would change your in-game settings to very low, 1080p with 60fps frame limiting enabled - important to enable it. Dont attempt to run the game on medium - the eye-candy is simply not worth the loss of fps & stability.
Back to your problem…
Other than the initial login, everything else is local to your system… The game & save files are all local so there is nothing that is being loaded from remote servers… You are using SSDs so it should be virtually instant loading characters etc… By comparison I can usually be playing within 20s of the login screen.
I dont see anything obvious in the dxdiag - other than the special sound drivers that is…
Is there anything else running at the same time on your system? If there is can you temporarily disable whatever it could be…
Is there anything in your Windows Log showing something that could explain these timeouts…?
Have you updated your windows 10 version to the latest? There is a 19042 yours is 19041.
typically, I only run youtube on my second monitor (or path of building if I am playing… that other game)…lol… but I like keeping game sessions very streamlined.
I logged into Epoch and lowered the graphics to very low after waiting the 3-5 minutes… and then sat there waiting for the next few as the music continued and the sentinel was frozen… and honestly… its just not worth this.
I shouldnt have to fight to install and play a game (even a beta one). I anticipated performance issues… not gatekeeping.
Ill uninstall and check back in a few months or something.
Unfortunately this is the nature of EA/Beta games… and you seem to have drawn the short straw this time around.
While performance isnt great, thankfully I have not had more than 2 or 3 crashes in over 700h of play so I am one of the lucky ones… I honestly cannot pinpoint any obvious reason for these loading delays and if there is nothing on your system logs etc then there is very little that I, as just another player, can suggest…
Hopefully when the devs get around to dealing with the performance and stability issues, they will resolve things like this.
Hope to see you back in a few months (remember they have a major update roughly every 2 months).
