Hype! Some of the new uniques show very unique play styles haven’t seen before in AARPGs imo. Although that falconer unique looks interesting it looks like it does zdps tbh but it’s probably just a tech short video and hope someone can make a crazy build from an unarmed falconer.
Critical strike avoidance is basically dodge for crit, while reduced damage from crit is armor.
Crit avoid = gives chance to avoid crit up to 100%
Reduced crit damage taken = reduce bonus crit damage from hits, up to 100%
At 100% both act the same way (unless you have monolith modifiers)

My worry however is that one second buff for COMMUNION OF THE ERASED is to short.
You press potion and within a second you have to press your skill which seems a little to short to me. I might be wrong of course and i do get it if its done like this because it would be to overpowered. Iam curious how it works out
Only if that mono modifier is crit vulnerability application chance. The reduced bonus damage taken is multiplicative so it doesn’t matter how much crit multi they have.
Yes, however it’s not multiplicative otherwise you wouldn’t be able to reduce damage from crits 100%. It is indeed additive, meaning if you have 2x 50%reduced, you don’t take any bonus damage from crits (no matter what the crit multi). Otherwise it would have been ‘‘less’’ damage taken (which is the opposite of more, which is mulitplicative).
That’s not what I meant. If you have 2 affixes giving 50% then those are both modifying the same stat (bonus damage taken from crits). They (the affixes/sources) aren’t multiplicative but it (the stat) is. Hence when you have 100% of it, you take no extra bonus damage from crits.

That’s understandable given how the game (& most of the genre except D4) uses more/less and increased/reduced fairly consistently & this particular mod is an exception to that consistency.
Personally i dont like the fact that flat minion damage is replacing increase % affix instead of being added as completely new one. Also for pure minion build weapon prefix still will remain useless (with couple exceptions)

Flat damage is generally often harder to get hold of than %. If you’re a minion build then this is most likely a buff since you’ll already have a decent amount of % increased minion damage.
For example, this build has ~857% increased minion damage, so adding some flat damage to that would probably be a massive buff (if it wasn’t using a unique wand).
These uniques look pretty meh to me.
but the situation when you only need a suffix on a weapon for your minion build and don’t care about the prefixes is lame
If you have a necrotic DoT fire skill then yes. It’s +3 to fire, +2 to DoT, and +2 to necrotic, so naturally you would get +5 to Fire DoT or Necrotic DoT skills but only +3 to other fire skills and +2 to other necrotic skills and +2 to other DoT skills.
Not sure why you’re adding all of them up together as I don’t know any Fire skills that are Necrotic skills too.
