Also has it occurred that Warlock and Falconer are the new kids on the block? I bet players are massively skewed to playing those right now. Hence the leader board will be equally skewed in favour of those masteries.

If you want mid/max optimal arena your build will be able to do any other content in the game, with ease.
This is not an opinion. Its objectively a fact.

Suddenly your motivation for calling for a nerf is more understandable. And you should know that some masteries/builds are better at arena than others.

Of course, if I am a player who values ​​the arena, I automatically value the balance of it.

No warlock is not op. I am maining warlock on 1.0

  • main damage is a held attack, [chaos bolt] no practical situation where your standing still in any fight for it to be meaningful

  • Fissure: mostly elemental, elemental resist is both hardest to shred, and most commom resisted element by mobs. Elemental is hard to scale, in a manner without going glass cannon where you die in one shot

  • Profane Viel: Works good on trash mobs and weak bosses, cant even be used on mechanics for real bosses [black sun, lagon, harot, husk of gaspard]

  • Ghost flame: good on paper, and good against bosses where you can drop jt and run away. Even with channeled build for ghost flame, your defenses dont scale well, and your one shot. 30K ward means nothing when boss deal 80K in one hit. No time limit on bosses, making it not a good choice

Funny the best way to build warlock, is actually to take base lich with fissure and then convert fissure to poison and scale that

Interesting. I am playing Warlock blind, and I started with poison but it felt too weak and moved to fire/necrotic which seems to work better. And I only saw myself with 5K ward once. I wonder how people get tents of thousands.

So, instead of bringing other classes up to the level of the warlock you call for nerfs? And all classes can be broken if you build them right. It’s just easier with warlock.

Arena is the worst part of the game. I can’t care about somebody spending dozens of hours grinding out the biggest made up number to land on the top of leaderboards that don’t mean anything except to people who are way sweatier than I will ever be.

Its not broken, what is universally broken is people exploiting ward on all classes with mechanics that build and retain tons of ward, gear swapping to always have 10k ward and trashing through 800 corruption.

Just depends on gear. Fire ignite does well but to make it work you need 4 uniques with 3+ leg potential, for a lot of variations. If you can clutch them your good.

Poison is easy to scale as there are many weapons with directly large boosts to poison damage in 200-300%. And a bunch of rings and amulets, many can be made at exalted items with no need for uniques. Hardest part about poison is that is hybrid between warlock and lich

honestly the damage seems lackluster after playing a bladedancer. but their tankiness is stupid good. that said, just have fun with it. roll it and enjoy facerolling.

Falconer is just as broken.

Warlock/warlock skills currently:
Profane veil gives 10* the ward it should when absorbing minions, or the node to also include enemies.
Ghostflame currently can have the node that effects minions, effect you, allowing you to get millions upon millions of ignite chance.
Soul feast can currently have its buff snapshot onto you, giving you perma 30-50% (depending how much you try hard getting it, 30% is fairly easy though) more armor, and a tonne of poison res, for free.

These 3 things combined mean that whatever direction you take warlock, you’re currently able to use broken parts of it to create characters that have infinite damage, or are effectively impossible to kill.

Shadow daggers has one loop with smoke bomb to give you way too much scaling damage.

The ignite is crazy with the right gear, as its infinite scaling. I myself run this build, and i am doing corruption 100-200 with ZERO uniques and legenderies. Once i get my gear [hopefullu next few days, gonna hit corruption 600].

Dont use ghost flame, i prefer infernal shade for the fire resist shred and chaos bolts

Ignite being strong is different to infinite ignites.

With ghostflame bug you can get literal millions upon millions of ignite chance, and then crash the game. So the difficulty is solely in not crashing your game lmao

None of those things has anything to do with the class itself, being OP. It’s people abusing, obviously, bugged mechanics. Something that most other games would issue bans and/or warnings for…

The problem is the EHG has their hands full fixing all the other issues with the game, that they can’t reliably address, and fix, these kinds of bugs that are allowing people to trivialize the game. It’s a perfect storm for really undermining the quality core that the game has to offer.

Buffing up everything to the level of OP outliers is one of the reasons why PoE suffers from powercreep. I hope that they’ll treat PoE2 differently, but I could easily see them follow the same practice until starting over with PoE3. Regardless I wouldn’t want to see EHG do the same thing.
