My game hangs on launch, am I alone?

Hello,

Love playing the game but haven’t been able to get beyond the title screen since Thursday-ish as the game hangs and Windows tells me its stopped responding. I uninstalled and reinstalled but the same issue persists. I haven’t changed the setup of my PC either. Any help?

Hey, Welcome to the forums…

Please can you post your system info, the game logs and in-game settings - they likely contain more info as to exactly what is happening or at the very least give some idea of your setup so that we can make some guesses…

Reinstalling would have resolved corruptions - but I would suggest that if you are using steam to verify the game files after installation - just to make sure.

When the game hangs on login, with the not responding message - have you chosen to Wait instead of ending the process? I have found that waiting sometimes lets the game handle any online communication timeouts and the game can sometimes revive itself after a few minutes of waiting…

This hanging also sometimes happens if you launch the game and then alt-tab away before its fully loaded and logged you in (purple button stage)…

Are you sure you have not installed any other application or let windows do any updates since you last successfully played the game?

If you provide the other detail (files above) then I can make some other suggestions…

EDIT: as another possible thing to try… Launch the Last Epoch .exe file directly from the install folder rather than hitting Play in Steam… This bypasses any Steam related issues that could be affecting the login process…
