POE has been demonstrating for over a decade what happens when Wall Street LARPers are given an unfettered ability to pour all their time and effort into amassing as much fake wealth as they can in an endless cycle where they use none of it to actually play the game. And the “what happens” is just about every screw-everybody-to-get-ahead trade practice that we outlaw in real life.

The more steps EHG takes to communicate that Trade Lord is not a class in Last Epoch, and it’s not a valid way to play their game, the better. I’ll always support EHG in telling those people to kick rocks, because:

Bingo. Also the reason why many content creators didn’t come back for 1.1 is because of MG and why they skipped it. There are other games to play. A majority of the player base didn’t come back because these core systems are brutal on the players.

This isn’t true. Please show me the 3 LP Wall of Nothing or Nihlus much less a 4 LP. There are almost impossible drop rates on many items in the game. There is a reason why it says almost impossible. It’s actually easier to find a Zod then some of these items and it’s way easier to trade for a Zod.

You do not seem to understand why it’s not the same as Zod or Tyrael’s, since you can get a version of the items, but about 10-15% less power. (since the first LP is the strongest in every build, and it gets weaker by every lower priority slam)

Some 4LP items are basically non-existent, but you can get fewer LP items, which is like getting 2/3s of a Zod.

The people in here defending the merchants guild is hilarious, talk about some serious coping. I’m coming to the understanding now this game isn’t made for people who play and enjoy ARPG games, this is a game for people who do not enjoy ARPG games.

People complaining about CoF, Well if you play any other ARPG solo self found good luck getting anything you want, you dont even go into a solo self found game with that mind set, its why I dont take any of you last epoch fan boys seriously when you complain about not having BiS gear while playing CoF, are you stupid? Do you not know what RNG is? If your not american do you not have casinos or gambling in your country?

In a solo self found play through in any ARPG your build is based off the items you find cause nothing is guarantee in a SSF play through, so when people complain about RNG in a SSF play through I don’t even take them seriously, those are the same people who buy a lottery ticket every month for 10 years and wonder why they are not a millionaire yet.

And the MG is stupid, if your spending 30 minutes listing and relisting the same item over and over to boost your favor your a dummy who has wasted 30 minutes of his life, or maybe you copers find it exhilarating game play. The whole system is stupid and needs to be done with. But in reality it doesn’t matter, this game wasn’t made for people like me, still have PoE and D4, not the end of the world, but its odd people defend what so many people are calling the worst trading system in game ever and complaining about whats probably the best SSF mode ever made in a game. You people are backwards and are not fans of ARPGs.

CoF isnt solo self found.

Which is why it needs improvement when. It comes to BiS gear.

The easiest solution is to let all players be in both factions at the same time. Pretty simple and would solve a lot of issues. You cant trade the CoF drops, but you may actually find something useful, and then you can shop MG when things aren’t going your way.

That would be OP AF letting players be in both factions.

Best way to do what ur talking about is remove the faction switch penalty. This way u can only gain tthe benefits of one factio. At a time

Tbh iv even suggested removing this. Since u already get a penalty from switching. U got to grind out the ranks on top of thag gain the favor

Here’s the post. As you can see from the post, it’s been a MASSIVE journey from basically no trade, to where we are today.

What’s bizarre is their reasoning. They are making decisions on trade and balance, that just make no sense when you actually play the game. They have continually not taken feedback seriously and begrudgingly make little changes that aren’t enough. It’s like the main developer is afraid to admit that they are wrong in their approach to most of the game design around trade/balance/boss design/etc. There’s so much wrong with the game at this point because they’ve continually doubled down over and over.

For the love of god, please hire a new lead designer who isn’t afraid to actually change course when their ideas don’t pan out. That’s basically the game in a nutshell right now. It’s chock full of ideas that probably sounded good in a meeting or on paper but don’t work once implemented. I mean, just about everything they’ve done for the end game needs an entire rework. Like throw it out and start over. It’s that bad.

Throw out LP system (this is a brain dead stupid system that punishes players when slams fail - and most slams fail). Throw out the Boss difficulty (This is ungodly stupid in how its been balanced without being able to out gear it on most classes). Throw out the general difficulty and balance concepts you have (they arent working, and never did). Throw out the faction systems (they are stupid, literally, why not let everyone join both? Just make them parts of the game that you level up to gear characters), and redevelop them all from the ground up. That’s whats holding the game back. The end game literally makes no sense in how it’s been designed. Reading about 1.2 makes it even more obvious that they are gonna double down again. I mean, wth!?!?!?! I laugh when I read about how they are building a company with the best aRPG designers in mind,. Using skills, running around with characters, and the general feel of the game is good. But that’s where it ends. The rest of the game is literally dogshit.
