I just need some advice. Ive installed the game fine and I’m able to eventually get in and play. Once in I’m very stable, so congrats there. However, it legit takes me 7-12m to get to the character screen. All* my loading screens say at some point in the top left, Last Epoch(not responding), so i simply wait it out, and eventually get loaded in. Any suggestions on how to improve this? I’ve avoided a reinstall due to it takes HOURS thru steam. tyvm
Now attempting to validate files from steam options, and it took 7m to get 1% completetion. Something isnt right here. There is no reason with my speeds this should be taking all day to complete and/or simply log-in.
Started to load in at 1:38:45pm EST - Its now 1:55pm and im still not loaded in.
Definitely should not take this long to login at all…Its a few seconds at most as the game doesnt do anything other than confirm that you have a valid account… There is nothing to download. Returning to the character screen does re-validate the login process (as I understand it) so whatever is causing your delay to login is repeated.
The Steam verification should also definitely not take that long at all either and thats a separate thing from the login process and is basically Steam just doing comparisons of the files…
Two things:
Are you sure there isnt some transient issue with your Internet connection? Loading things from Steam servers shouldnt take that long at all and logging into EHG to play is normally virtually instant… Is there any firewall issues that are timing out or something? Are you using a VPN or proxy solution of some kind? When last did you powercycle your modem/routers etc?
Is your system trying to do anything in background - like patching or anything else? The verification part of Steam is using your local machine resources so it definitely should not be taking that long unless you machine is doing something else… If you monitor your system, what is your CPU usage disk usage, network usage etc… is your machine idling or working its butt off when you try and login or verify files on Steam?
YOU CAN CLOSE/REMOVE THIS POST! I downloaded it, and launched it from LE launcher. It still said for about 3-4 secs in the top left, Not Responding. However, it only set there for about 1m and let me in!!! Huge improvement, aka issue resolved as far as I’m concerned. Thanks for the help @vapourfire
