Massive FPS drops - Hardly playable

As I mentioned above, I am running i5-7500/1060 and I can get a stable in town 75 fps at 1080p with everything set to very low or disabled and I am willing to allow my GPU to get to 70-75 degrees C. If I remove all limits I get 100fps in town at the same settings… but the GPU maxes out and stability becomes an issue with much larger spiking.

For normal play I usually run at 60 fps to keep my GPU cooler and I have zero variance in FPS in a static place like town or in a map where I have cleared the mobs… The only time this spikes is in known FPS killer moments with lots of mobs, lots of minions or lots of skills proccing… 90-95% of the time during normal play (and depending on the build) I get between 45-60fps. probably averaging at around 50-55ish.

I do not use vsync… the foreground framerate limiting option works better… Yes, vsync should have the same affect but I find that it doesnt for some unknown reason.

You should DEFINITELY be able to get similar if not better performance depending on your CPU…

Same here. i7 from 2016 and a 1070M and my framerate is all over the place. I usually run vsync-half because the 10-series cards have a screen blanking issue when framerates drop suddenly and gsync is enabled, so my “max” is 60fps, but I definitely get far worse performance during combat than I really should with this kind of hardware. Especially since I keep almost everything but textures and landscape at low.
