I’m overall pretty happy with the mana changes this patch. I had been theory crafting ways to really push mana regen in a way that could self sustain some higher mana cost abilities, but it wasn’t really possible before. Now, with so much more mana regen available I think I’ll be able to do it. Will I have to make some tough decisions on my gear? Yes, absolutely, but I think there are a lot of builds where it’ll be worth investing in some regen over another prefix or passive point, and I like that the diversity to build into regen as a competitive option is actually there now.
I’m also glad it’s on prefix. If it were on suffix I think it would be much more punishing to build regen for people who are pushing empowered monos or arenas. The defense is really needed there, but there are enough ways to build enough damage even after sacrificing some prefixes.
I do love the Beastmaster, but you have to like being surrounded by friendly animals.
Beastmaster can get much Endurance threshold and if you put 7 points in Druid you’ll also get +14% Endurance. Beastmaster can be rather tanky. Beard shield it is.
Exactly my thoughts. Adding secondary defensive layers are far more important in the endgame, and if mana regen was competing for those same suffix slots it’d be even more challenging to build your defensive layers while also trying to increase mana regen.
In general, most builds aren’t suffering from a lack of damage, but rather their ability to build out further defensive layers beyond just resistances that will allow them to progress further into the endgame.
Who are you to tell me what is wrong? I stated before if the mana and defenses are taken care of on other pieces of gear more defenses are always going to be better when mana points are tied to other things like a life leech or more spell damage. I have mana on no gear. From the tree, I regain my mana with 100% crit and life, and mana leech plus as a bonus gain 450% more damage. I chose this way to survive.
Ask my wife how easily I let things like that go. I’m still pissed with the rest of my family for eating several of my puddings that I’d put in the fridge, some of which had my name on them! And that was a good 30+ years ago!
I did believe you, i tend to have those moments aswell. I still think back at a moment 16 years ago were my mom said HEY LOOK OVER THERE while eating. I looked over there and she ate my whole saucage worst (i hate english) that i left for the end to eat, because its the best. I was so suprised that she actually did that and i was so mad.
I couldnt believe she done that, especially because she normally doesnt do that kind of thing, my dad does that so i would have known he would trick me.
But it was my mom i never forget that moment. It was this close and i had to go to therapy to deal with that horrible moment the rest of my life.
I did manage somehow to get past that moment
And the laughing that my mom did… i never forget…
Sometimes i wake up at night screaming NO NOOOOOOO not my Saucage bathing in sweat and tears (the last part beside the laughing she did is obvisouly not true )

As described, you can handle many things in Last Epoch in different ways. Individual experiences do not represent a universally valid argument. There are also alternative ways of playing/views.
