No build needs a red ring or a ravenous void. All builds function perfectly without them.
Red ring is a chase BiS item that only improves your defenses/survivability by quite a bit, but not necessary at all.
EDIT: And you should never actually see a 3LP one at all. 3LP is 1 in 800k red rings. It shouldn’t ever drop with the current state of the game. Even 2LP should be extremely rare (1 in 1.5k red rings).
I’m not talking about 3lp red rings, I’m talking in general about any item, any item with the old imprint you could easily knock out 3lp with a guarantor in adequate time frames
Gives you a little bit of survivability? Well, in the game except for these rings no other rings give -10% of the damage received, as well as attributes and evasion rating, go to the tooltip at falconer with rings, remove them and see how much less EHP becomes.
Some builds have no other options to play high corruption, kill uber other than these 1lp rings, there are simply no such items in the game.
But to be able to imprint any Item, you must first get the item in your hands…
So if one managed to get a Red Ring to be able to imprint it, they’ll certainly be able to find another, especially if they imprinted the first one, which will significantly increase the odds.
Most falconer builds do 1k+ (even 2k+) corruption without red rings. They did it in 1.1 and they do it in 1.2 even more than before.
If you feel like you need red rings, then that’s because your build isn’t good enough and you should fix it instead of hoping red rings will fix them for you.
Red rings are supposed to be very rare. They are supposed to be like Mageblood when it was introduced. It’s something that only the top 1% of the top 1% of players will be using.
And, like Mageblood, it was never required for any build. They all function perfectly without it.
It’s meant to help you push that extra bit, not to define your build.
Well, a million+ favors spent and seen, played the game for 3 days, stood in that ring. I need it with legendary potential, I closed this dump and I’m not going to open it, there are games more fair in terms of time and progression costs
I agree with you that with such a build there is enough damage to play with such a quantity of corruption, the question is simply that any mob will sneeze on you and you will go run the map again)
That is because Falconer is pretty much always built as a glass cannon. You just need enough damage to kill everything before they attack you. Or use shift/smoke bomb to get DR and invulnerability for bosses and the odd mob that manages to escape.
In the end, that you will explain to me here how the build works, the conversation here is that I believe that previously there was adequate progression of any equipment - it is enough to get it once and you can be sure that in the near future you will get 3 lp (will fall on the floor, nemesis, turtle - it does not matter), in the case of the ring 1 lp
At the moment the fat part of this drop in the form of imprint has been removed, which I think is not fair to my time. I’d be much more interested in starting to play the next character and building another build than banging my head against the wall trying to knock a red ring off prophecies or just onto the floor. The same goes for any other uniques in general, just like that instead of what’s in the imprint drops anything other than that imprint
Looks like new patch today might have reverted some of this change at least partially. I haven’t gotten a chance to play and test it and see if it feels good again, but glad to see they are listening to players about how bad the prior changes were.
Is there any changes, do items from the imprint fall normally now?
I haven’t seen any changes at the moment, originally ran with a red ring in imprint, about 10 imprint drops from the echo bounty, were only rare/rare, a couple times unique, but not what’s in the imprint.
Then put titan heart, similar situation, ± more than 15 falls of imprint, the item standing in it is not.
I’d like some feedback, am I just unlucky, did I get too few imprint drops, or just nothing changed?
It’s not partially reverted, it’s the exact same thing without the same amount of drops. So basically it’s a nerfed version of the pre-bugfix patch.
Getting 2 Red Rings in 5 minutes just because it’s Imprinted is not normal and that happened yesterday, especially when this item has 0.14% drop chance(Even with blessings and increased corruption drop chance bonuses it should be an extremely rare drop).
Not sure. I’m actually kind of burned out after the nerf. Played for a week and it was just really bad I lost the desire to play. Glad to see it “might” be fixed though.
Given that it was previously bugged & the “nerf” was actually the fix, what theyve said they’ve done is to buff it an undefined amount. So it should be better than it was but not as good as 1.2.
I suspect something might have been broken since that patch revert… Unless they really buffed Red Ring’s drop chance.
Yesterday I dropped my first Red Ring ever, in the first empowered mono I did after unlocking… Couple minutes later, I saw someone going nuts on global chat, claiming he had dropped not only one, but TWO red rings out of a single mob in normal monos.
