Only a Sith deals in absolutes. IMO, that is not true, especially when you then go on to belittle someone you disagree with. It may not be white knighting (or, you know, it might), but its definitely being a bit of a dick.
Man u have been rude to him this whole time the question is why?
@Vekongnitoo I have a low tolerance for grown babies, it is very simple. Sadly the world is changing to accommodate this behavior. I will refrain from posting in these sort of topics going forward. I will not coddle people with poor behavior, so I will leave it to yall.
Mature person - Hey devs, any chance that the character cap can get increased for us onliners who really enjoy building characters in every possible way? I dont even mind if I have to pay for the slots, it would just be nice QoL.
OP - If you dont accomodate my very personal problem your game is dead on arrival and as soon as D4 is here I am done with LE. Jesus.
I guarantee if it weren’t for seasons and it was built to resemble lets say Grim Dawn, 90%+ of player base will never even create 15 characters, hell maybe even 10. CT’s and frequent forum posters are in the overwhelming minority, lets not forget this. Casuals will hit monoliths with a couple characters, then move on. This is a very personalized issue in the grand scheme of LE problems.
Im just calling it like it is, act like a reasonable adult get treated like a reasonable adult. Simple. Not apologizing for calling a spade a spade.
A mature person would also not post on stuff like this or work up some kind of tolerence because OP didn’t say anything harsh or babylike but something silly.
Maybe it’s better if you don’t get tips how to behave because obviously your social competence is a tad bit flawed if something like this is working you up.
Someone who wants to trade one game with restrictive char slots vs another game with even more restricted char slots is realy funny where I’m from… to stay polite.
man u sound very angry if that thing could make u act this way i cant even imagine what a real thing can do
Peace is a lie, there is only passion. Through passion, I gain strength. Through strength, I gain power. Through power, I gain victory.
Sith or aRPG gamer? Is there much of a difference? XD
Twenty is Plenty. For now…
Who is the baby, me or a forum poster who has repeatedly posted in a complaint thread when:
a) He doesn’t even feel affected by the issue
b) Doesn’t care about it
c) Didn’t even know there would be no wipe at 1.0 so thought my complaints were baseless. Then when corrected, just doubled down.
d) Has made a whole 2 chars since the first alpha dropped. (So knows nothing of what it is like to be an alt-obsessive. Hint: it’s an addiction of sorts)
Dead on arrival for ME. And this is simple a fact regardless of how you try to twist it. I cannot limit myself to 20.
And the D4 thing was a joke, as I made clear in subsequent posts.
Just stop m8, you are looking like a rude little brat. My first post was a knee-jerk, I confessed and explained that. I was so very surprised (and heart-broken) at discovering this that it came out as it did. Since then, in every post I have been calm and collected and tried to carefully explain in ore depth why it matters so much.
And I was never once rude, even to you. I really do not think I deserve your bitter and contemptuous attitude.
A bold statement. Proof?
For the record, I do not do seasons. Never have. I push my end-game char as far as I can, then push them further. A year later I’ll go backto teh early ones and push them again. I am an Arena player really, Monoliths are simply a gearing grind for the Arena. You really do not understand the type of ARPG player I (and many others are). We live for alts and having ALL the builds available.
you either have 20 low level crappy chars or you need to go outside. which is it?
I mean, your OP is written pretty childish. 20 characters is enough to make one of every class and mastery and still have a quarter of your budget left for more. I’m not saying they shouldn’t increase the limit, but you asked who the baby is and the way your post is written was over-the-top enough that I thought it was satire. I thought we were going to be doing another bit, like that one guy, and was very surprised to find that you were both serious and sincere in how big a deal you think it is.
I am not angry at all. I have been here since the initial alpha, feel free to go thru my post history and find any other instance of me being confrontational to this degree. This was so melodramatic and over the top, I thought it was made by an entitled teenager, you know, the type who tells his parents he hopes they die when he gets a red BMW M3 for his 16th birthday instead of a blue one. It turned out to be even worse, it turned out to be an entitled adult. I called him out, thats the end of it. Everybody needs a reality check from time to time.
Like a said, I will refrain from posting in topics like this, thankfully they are few and far between.
Disregarding, its actually important to know 20 chars is maximum. I have already rolled 3 and I felt I barely played the MP patch, got a 100/97/88 or something
GGG gives 23 char slots. I max’d mine years ago then started deleting chars. Then my chars all became 100 and refuse to delete so I have to pay $5 for every TWO characters now due to the point system. I have 27-28 chars in PoE
Due to exchanges of money/points systems, expect to pay $x for xx character slots in the future if you want more than 20 chars, prob a minimum of $5USD
Diablo 3-4 will get around this with global paragon levels. Your 5 Barbarians are all exactly the same when they merge the end of seasons however you will still want one of each class (5) plus the ability to roll one of each class (5) so you can hit the limit in D4 on the second season
edit: thinking about it EHG really needs to add the option of paying large gold sums for character slots, as comparing to PoE nothing makes sense
PoE gives 4 Stash tabs and 23 slots, more stash space requires RL cash and it gets expensive, ie 15USD for a ‘special tab’ that holds only 1 item type, you can have as many tabs as you want. I have about 14.
When a league ends in PoE your tabs as moved to standard as ‘remove only’ tabs added and these will rot forever and accumulate league after league. GGG dont care about the billions of items wasting on their servers but if you want more tabs/characters -5$ but the game is free however PoE has a limit of 255 characters (someone has done this)
EHG makes you pay, for the game gives you ability for massive stash space at seemingly no end (so their server issue is apparently non existent) so there is no reason to disallow chars to be purchased with gold
Wow. Did I post on a forum about an issue that was personal to me
I feel a sense of achievement.
Question: If you are limited to 20 chars, what will happen after a season (cycle) ?
For example: I have 20 chars in “Standard” and 5 chars in the current season.
Will i have 25 chars in “Standard” after the season?
Meaning, i can create a new char in the following season, but not in “Standard” (because of the 20 char limit)?
Btw: i would pay for extra character slots. Loosing a char after a season due the char limit would feel terrible for me
I believe you can only currently have 20 online characters total. Those slots are shared between online and cycles (probably) and I don’t think that’ll change. It would be strange if they had to try to consolidate characters between cycles. They may increase the max number though.
Have devs said anything about increasing this? The cap of 20 is pretty low.
Did you even read the thread or just the title?
There is literally a dev that commented on this
Reading is hard, coming on to knock a quick one off the wrist (a rant, obviously) is a lot easier (& more satisfying) than reading nuances or context, and for some people, breathing through the nose.
Not a word since mid-April. Pretty poor.
Grief dude, its a beta and they chose an arbitrary limit for now. If they had made it 1000 and it created server issues they were not prepared for would that have been a better approach?
