Lost my character(s)

Okay, first time trying, I play on Windows, and I play on a Druid (to level 5). Back on Linux, the character is lost, but this time I have to log-in, so I figured I didn’t log in before.

So I log in. I have my Rogue which becomes a Bladedancer, and after 11 hours of playing I get to mapping. Great. Because of some performance issues (lag at low quality) on Linux, I figured I’d try to play on Windows. No problem at maxed out quality.

Then I go back to Linux, and I figured I’d try to use Proton Experimental to see if that would fix the performance problems. After that, I lost my level 55 something character, and thus 11 hours of progress.

Bit sad, please fix :frowning:

Back on Windows, the character is back, but the test character I created on Linux is gone. I take it characters aren’t synced account wide.

Hey, Welcome to the forum…

The savegames and characters are all LOCAL - there are no savegames saved on EHG servers right now…

Everything is off-line and local to whatever operating system you are using.

On windows the files are in C:\Users[username]\AppData\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch\

On linux the files are in ~/.config/unity3d/Eleventh Hour Games/Last Epoch/

Ah right! Since I’m testing the game using Proton Experimental, the saves are instead at

~/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/compatdata/899770/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/LocalLow/Eleventh Hour Games/Last Epoch

(for anyone who’s looking)
