After playing for a few hours and leveling from 35 to high 40’s or even 50.
I’d made progress to the quest “Heorot’s Last Blessing” and had the lance and needed to return it to complete the quest, I wanted to take a break and exited the game as normal.
After a while I reload steam and get a could sync error for Last Epoch and each attempt to solve the sync error failed. I closed steam and re-opened it and the error was gone.
As soon as I log back in I see that I’m back down to level 35 and at the quest “The Desert Waystation” I have been knocked back to chapter 5 from 8.
I can only attest to this happening, as it happened to me today. I played for a few hours, making progress to around level 45, and regularly quit the game in-town using “Exit to Desktop”. After just loggin back in, I found my character at Level 40, so 5 Levels of progress lost, including some very useful items found along the way.
Please investigate this, as this potentially happening is a very big concern in regards to playing this game online. It’s a huge loss of trust if we cannot be confident in your servers ability to properly record and save our progress in the game.
