Only because there are numbers doesn’t mean it’s an RPG and doesn’t mean the writing is automatically something to write home about. In fact, it’s rather dull and the main reason the vast majority play these kind of game is the “slot machine” kind of gameplay, certainly not for the story.
I agree with you, especially if the main campaign also changes (wet dream) based on the chosen class.
If and only IF the story became very long (and also good) maybe…MAYBE I would also add the skip.
About leveling, realy there is no problem here, only one: we get to much exp. I played 123h in total and have 87 and 58 lvl characters, don’t mention dozen of hours wasted in chrome reading things about items/dots/etc. You seriously think it’s not enough? And I dont focus on exp, if you want you can speed it up sky rocket.
Absolutely 110%. For me at least, that’s the motivation to skip. Like I said, campaign enemy density is a bore, and causes slow levelling. I want as many chars to 100 as I can as quickly as possible in order to try all the builds.
For all those saying this is a campaign skip requesst with increased leveling…yes. that shoud be abundantly clear in the OP.
The problem with loot is in core design of having an alt focused loot system but having a very anti alt design in the game.
The replies with “no you should grind, see its slightly better than d3/PoE” are just ugh, so missing the point.
The point of game design isn’t to be slightly better or just as bad, it’s to make the game enjoyable by the people who play it.
No one likes playing the campaign over and over.
No one likes having gear drop for other classes that they are not going to play because it’s a straight up chore to level alts.
There are other loot problems ofc, but just at a surface level the design of alt focused loot drops but being anti-alt is a problem.
Maaaaan, you can’t make things for ppls and say ‘no one… no one…’. You have all kind of ppl playing a game. Someone like that, another like that. And one more point, you can’t make a thing/game for ALL kind of players, trying to do that - failure 200% You must choose your segment of interest and make it for them. “We making this game for grind lovers” or “We make it for drop lovers, let’s make game like d3”. I don’t what segment LE oriented, but I like it now.
Yeah yeah contrarians are going to exist, not a point of relevance.
Players do not enjoy doing the campaign over and over. A skip option is beneficial to the majority of players.
Even in this thread there is only one person who actually liked repeating campaign, which I’m sure if we asked further he hasn’t made that many alts or doesn’t actually like that waste of time.
Yeah, your opinion preveil lol. 30k players online and u get stats from forum post? I don’t want to play game for majority. I wanna play good game.
Why you even make alts? I bet you don’t complete even one of your build. show me full 4LP with desired stats geat set and we talk about it. Get bored with build?
They are not disagreeing with me. That’s the point. If they disagreed and posted why, sure, but I’m not going to pretend like it’s a legimate point to say “not all players” for a huge QoL improvement suggestion. The responses in feedback are weird attacks by white knights who can’t take their pride out of it.
I started playing the game again around the time 0.9e came out. In that first two weeks I played 74 hours, give or take. At the end of that, I had enough gold for 31 stash tabs, if I remember correctly. In the following 40 hours or so, I’ve probably bought 4 more. My gold total is sitting at just under what I’d need for one additional one. I leveled one character to 100 and completed all Empowered Monoliths on them (no key dungeons) and got another to level 70 and played the first two Monoliths. This is the real-world data I’m basing this off of.
If there’s key dungeons or super rare loot that gives insane gold after that, that’s all well and good but I’m never going to see any of that. At least not for a good long time. I don’t have hundreds of hours to play the game. I’m mainly just leveling a couple of characters to hop on with friends when they become interested in checking out multiplayer.
Nitpick: There are no masteries I am not going to play and I strongly welcome loot dropping that makes me immediately think of another alt I could level. In fact, this is a high point of the game.
(I do agree it is more of a chore to level alts than it should be)

I’m literally making the point that it should not be a chore to level alts.
It’s PICK ONE:
Either make the gear more mastery focused drops OR make alt experience not as painful.
