Having the LE-51 error as described in this tech support post
My game client is stuck on confirming a display name and I cannot get past this prompt in any way. It appears to be related to the “Account Services Temporarily Unavailable” on the main lastepoch.com site.
Is there any way for support to push my display name through to the game client? My steam and last epoch accounts match my forum username. It looks like the game client is just unable to confirm or accept a display name without communicating through the account services server that is down.
I just had this error today. Seems to have been caused by Steam being offline. Sometimes when I launch Steam right after start up it can’t go online for some reason. Might not be your case.
It sounds like the LE-51 error results from entirely different issues. I submitted a support ticket and the solution to my version of the problem (brand new account that was stuck on the “Enter Display Name” screen) was to just spam multiple random/different usernames. Eventually it let me through and I could play the game. Afterwards, support was able to manually change my display name to match my account.
Was this your first login into the game? I mean When you have to fill up account name?
Correct, it was my first time ever installing or playing the game. The first screen I saw was a prompt to enter a display name for my account.
I was playing the game just fine 4 hours ago, now I get the error too and can’t continue.
I made a backup of AppData\LocalLow\Eleventh Hour Games\Last Epoch\Saves, deleted everything in the folder and started the game. It downloaded the files from the cloud again and the error didn’t appear anymore.

I’m still getting this error even after today’s Patch. My Display name is Locked in and I can’t edit it at all…the account is Not new…I’ve had it nearly since LE launched.

I have never had this problem before then after todays patch getting this error and cant play. Going through the normal steam stuff like going offline and online and verifying files and will let you know if it worked or not.
Edit- verifying files did seem to work. It did take longer than normal to login so it could have just been lucky I dont know.
Same here error LE 51 ? What to do ?
I also never had LE 51 until today.
I was able to solve my problem by deleting my filters. After that I was able to log in normally again

I had the same issue, was able to fix it by turning off steam cloud for the game, and re loading
Can anyone help me with this LE51 error? I cannot login since the multiplayer update.
I did: verify the files, a fresh install, remove the save files, disable steam cloud.
And no i’m not in Poland or want to use a vpn.
