For what reason? Why was it nerfed? Was it overpowered? Most set items are barely useful, so why nerf them?
It does matter. Mastery for over 5 yrs was ur class. The game had 15 classes now nuked down to 5 and 15 sub classes.
Devs said for 5+ yrs ur mastery is ur class.
It also wont meet the intentions of it as a dev said on a thread about mastery respec when they first revealed it.
The intentes of it is to allow for players to fix mistakes in thier build as well as switch if they dont like the build or mastery they choose. That goal is fine.
The current price falls flat in meeting that goal.
It also creates a form of campaign skip as iv seen players already talking about when they first revealed this respcing. Where u can lvl 5 classes then just switch to play the other mastery classes. Might as well just give a full campaign skip at this point. Which is something i do not want at all.
This mastery respec affect more of the game than alot of players are letting on. As well as affecting players enjoyment of it. Which has been pointed out since the day this was first revealed
Also EHG for yrs said they dont want players to have to build a lvling build then switch to and end game build for yrs. Aka swap meta.
Mastery was the only permanent choice left in the game. Which has now gone up in smoke. As well as destroyed the philosophy behind item factions. Which was u want to trade or not. Its no longer that anymore
1 million at level 100 is more than enough as long, as there is no anohter dupe/abuse as it was in previous patches. The price is ok for CoF, and as long as the MG economics stays healthy it’s ok here too.

I popped on my abandoned character for a very quick test.
My character is level 52. I did 1 “money” echo from the very first timeline (area level 58) and I got exactly 8832 gold from it. Difference in cost for respec between level 60 and 50 is 20k, so 2k per level, so respec would cost me 34k. 34000 / 8832 = 3.85. It would take 4 “money” echo runs to fund the change. That one run took me about a minute…
Unfortunately I deleted all of my finished characters, because I got bored and wanted to try new things, and I didn’t have slots for new characters, so I cannot check what gains I would have from empowered monoliths “money” echo.
It wasn’t clear to me from the section on evade bugs: Has the problem with evade sometimes sending you back to where you started been fixed?
With the CoF lenses, I’m surprised they just nerfed the reward enhancers. I kind of assumed they’d be getting rid of them and adjusting rewards accordingly. Does this really fix the problem with them? They’re still just something where if the math works out, they’re just optimal to use over the lenses that tailor what you’re looking for. If they’re over-nerfed, then they just won’t be used. Why can’t we just get rid of them and let the lenses just be for targeting what you want?

I think people might be overestimating how often peeps will go for full respecs. I certainly have no intention to swap back and forth every time I wanna kill a boss. Once or twice if I’m stumped? Sure. Regularly? Ewwww…
Respeccing every talent point gets annoying when you do it too often. It won’t stop min-maxers, but I don’t think the average shmuck will obsess all that much about the ability to respec on a whim.
One question about Vilatria’s Downfall Reforged does the conversion to lightning change Craterborn to lightning penetration?

Have you guys fixed the issue where the game will freeze/stutter when closing the map overlay? I havent seen any mention of that and its really the only gripe I have with the game. Other than that thanks for the legendary update.

Curious how the rework/rebalance of Void Knight will pan out, I was curious to play Devouring Orb for the longest time now … also happy to see buffs to Black Hole, i would love if it were possible to make it into a main damaging skill somehow (you see the dark/black orbs attract me for some reason …)
But other than that, probably also gonna try Chthonic Fissure Warlock, since my first choice (Aerial Assault or Ballista Falconer) seems to be nuked …
