Last Epoch: Shattered Omens Patch Notes

Acolyte Skeletal Mages look now really [reaaaaaaaally] juicy…

Is 60% MORE AoE with shadow rend PER SHADOW not insane? New sources of +1 to max shadows have already been shown so we can at the very minimum get 360% more AoE.
On top of that we also scale MORE dmg simultaneously. This has to be one of the best clear skills in the game no?

Please fix Enchant Weapon consuming ignites even without the conflagrate node. Anyway, lot of good things. Some that is agree to disagree and few to be mad of.

That’s a pretty harsh nerf for a mechanic that already rarely gave anything more than a pile of junk loot

The reasoning behind this change is unclear. The dropped items already mostly rolled with different bases and useless affixes. And what exactly does “much lower chance” mean? Is it 50%? 80%?

Again, no specifics

What exactly were we skipping when getting better gear through imprints? Was it some exciting content? No. We were farming Conquered Tower and Unclaimed Trove for hours and weeks, getting mountains of junk that only had an indirect connection to the imprinted item

Honestly, this all feels like unnecessary grind extension. Especially since, as others have pointed out, this negatively affects CoF players. So I’d really appreciate it if you could share the specific metrics you used to justify these changes

Can’t wait for season 5 in Q4 this year and the expansion in Q4 the following year.

Just kidding, the expansion would obviously be Q2 of 2028. We couldn’t even get season 2 on the game’s anniversary.

i really don’t get it ? even once you have the 3t7 drop you have to havoc it and try to seal / replace affixes so 29/30 3t7 drops fail. then julra messes up 4/5 so you success rate is prob 1/100 … why does that success rate need to be nerfed even further ? where is your data to support this SUPER GIGA nerf ?

We were farming Conquered Tower and Unclaimed Trove for hours and weeks

I guess that is what they want to fix. It is unfun.

Imprint item nodes drop items 50% less frequently.

This was needed.

Similar items dropped from imprint item nodes have a much lower chance to have multiple exalted affixes.

Not sure about that one though. I’d rather they revert guaranteed legendary affix when slamming. Or toned it down - e.g. if you choose “guaranteed” affix, than it goes down one tier.

some really exciting stuff here and some real letdowns.
First, my biggest complaint: Fangs of the Berserker. This was a build that I was really excited to play last season, only to discover that it was bugged and basically did nothing. I was disappointed then, but was looking forward to playing my build once it got fixed. Now I come to read that, while yes, it is getting fixed, the main interaction of the build that I never got to play is getting completely gutted (0.25x) from granting 0.6 added melee damage per strength (at best) to 0.15 along with a secondary nerf to the base efficiency of the setup. I am incredibly disappointed by this development, especially since a large portion of the nerf is placed on Swordcatcher, a rare melee weapon with wide roll ranges that already struggled to compete with other melee options before losing a substantial amount of melee damage and effect of frenzy.
My second complaint is that Thicket of Blinding Light didn’t get nearly a big enough nerf. The build will certainly be weaker, but it will still trivialize even high corruption content on extremely low investment.
I am excited to play this season (though I will not be playing on season start) and there are still plenty of builds which I am interested in trying, Bladedancer in particular looks fun as well as a certain interaction that may be possible on the new Spellblade. However I cannot stress how disappointing it is that Fangs of the Berserker and Swordcatcher received such a massive nerf after being completely non-functional.

Nerfing effective range from 12 yards to 4 is not big enough? Also reflecting idols were nerfed.

what they needed to do was give alternative was of achieving the same end result rather than endless trove + tower runs … not mega nerfing the only way of getting better than 2t7 items with no viable alternative

I’d argue this change to imprints has now made this worse as players will have to play more just to hopefully get what “wasn’t enough” pre change.

If it was a case of they hate trove and tower spam I wish the initial response wasn’t well let’s make them “unbearable”. For better or worse imprints/troves/towers gave the players two things. One a way to target farm and two a way to “reliably” farm end game crafting supplies.

I would argue this change won’t bother most players as it seems the majority of players are those who season hop game from game. And play a week or two then forget about game until next big content drop. And generally hurts the dedicated/daily player/min maxers. And if this is EHG choice to start directing changes towards a more casual player as that’s what my impression is overall from certain changes in this and past patches. I just wish they would be clear and honest if it is a case of they want the game more so for the casual and temporary player. That way I can know if this game is still my correct choice to sink my time in.

What about the delay in Stash when moving things to and from Stash?

Does this include meddling around in your Stash?

Great stuff! The 26th can’t get here quick enough.

Those are some excellent suggestions in my opinion. The extra COF chance of imprint dropping could be tied to a specific level inside the COF faction. I also was thinking of something along the lines of lower corruption generating fewer and “lesser” exalted drops, eliminating that skipping potential of imprints. At higher corruptions, like 1000, the imprint system could generate a similar output as this season, thus creating an incentive to further playtime.

For none seasonal players (we do exist, sadly some of us have very limited time with the game) this imprint nerf basically equates to a final stop on build progression, since any further improvements will be a slogfest. I also think this will severely limit game interest after the initial weeks of seasonal play.

so you killing CoF and force us to play Bazaar this season, devs? WHy all these nerfs?

Im looking forward to next week!

Wow, spellblade changes look genuinely promising. I’m not sure where it will fall number wise, but it is definetely a nice attempt to fix a few spellblades issues.

Could you clarify what “increased armor” means in Conjured Armor’s threshold bonus? Cumulative increased armor % bonus or increased armor in absolute numbers?

Imprint item nodes drop items 50% less frequently.
This is a complete misunderstanding. I love this game, I’ve played nearly 600 hours, and I’ve bought tons of support packs. I was a constant supporter, no matter the circumstances, and I was the only one of my four friends who believed something would come of it, that the game would get back on its feet. I forgave the weak support skins, I forgave the hopeless item shop, I forgave the enormous wait for the second season, I forgave the mediocre third season, I forgave the enormous wait for the fourth season, I forgave the absolutely hopeless idea for the corruption mechanism, I forgave the increase in RNG, I forgave the takeover by Krafton, I forgave the lack of hype before the fourth season, I forgave the paid DLC, I forgave the fact that even the 5th season looks mediocre and maybe only with Orobys the game will present something cool, but this nerf is a slap in the face, it’s a total misunderstanding, no one asked the players about it, no one consulted it, no one wrote about it, and now, during HYPE WEEK, we find out that the item drops that were impossible to get anyway will be nerfed even more. When the game has 10 times too much RNG and grind, you add a terrible item corruption RNG system and at the same time weaken the RNG so we have to farm even more??? That’s too much for me, I’m out, you’re not getting my money anymore.

But… why?

Seriously, this patch looks sick.

But why can’t i manually transfer my crafting mats if I want to?
