Sorry, but this is a beyond terrible decision and actually prevents me from playing the 2nd cycle at all now. Not only that, but I’ll now doubt any future dates you put out for a reset in case they change again!
I’ve already booked few days annual leave from work to hit the reset on launch and won’t be able to adjust those.
You’ve moved it like 2 weeks ahead AND to a Thursday lol.
When you announce a date, you stick to it. Entire community was behind LE. This literally stops me playing at launch completely now.
Ridiculous.
Edit: And to top it off, you move the date before GGG has even done the pre-stream. They haven’t even announced an economy reset yet. For all we know, they could be live testing the new class for 2 weeks before they hit that button. Do you move the date again if that happens? What a joke.
Remember when you guys used to say “hey go play other games, it’s ok to play other games, as long as you come back”… Wtf?
Thank you all for all your efforts! I’m sad that GGG wasn’t considerate enough on this matter. You guys have my support and I’ll be playing the season 2 on April 17th.
It was already bad enough having to wait 2 weeks now we got wait another 2 weeks.
Not only that, but thiis season was supposed to come out in September last year, then got pushed to Q1 this year, then April 2nd, and now April 17th.
You folks seriously have to make up for this.
Tough call to make but you made it and in time no one will even remember the delay. I too took a vacation day off so I could get another game day in. Either way I’m still off so that’s still great!
Looking forward to experiencing all the new additions, revamps, and work you and your team has been grinding away on.
Are your twitch days going to change too? I’m guessing they should/will.
Looking forward to S2 and the bevy of MTX supporter packs you’ve been working on.
“Forced?” No. You chose to move it.
Y’all basically just said POE 2 is better than your game.
Also, good to know the live service ARPG isn’t actually a competitive market. You’re all just trying to milk us in equal parts for overpriced FOMO cosmetics.
I’m disappointed. I don’t think EHG should have moved the date; that’s what GGG wanted.
I’ve been looking forward to this release more than anything else in gaming this year. A LOT of people booked time off of work to be able to play Season 2, and now what do they do?
I understand that EHG sees this as the beneficial business move to make, but I have to disagree. I’ve never been more disappointed with EHG than I am right now for moving this date out another 2 weeks. The last thing we need is more delays on top of almost a YEAR of waiting for this update.
Last Epoch is still the best. Like POE2 but am going to just keep on LE until the 17th. I like this decision. A little more time to tighten things up too.
The people that think like this are legit finished with a PoE season (even in PoE1) within two weeks. They no life the hell out of the game and PoE2 has significantly less content over PoE1, so that timetable is probably even shorter than that.
Ultimately some people in this thread are wildly over-reacting. Two more weeks is not all that much. Play something else for a bit longer. It’s not that big of an ask.
Overall i think a good decision, as a player, if i’d have a situation where two seasonal Games cross paths, i’d also appreciate one to move the date so i’ve time to focus on one first. In lense for the devs i’d also can see why.
Still, i don’t care in this case anyway. I don’t play PoE(2) to begin with, so there wouldn’t have been any issue on my side anyway. And now that you added Mastery-Respecc you pretty much killed my excitement for Last Epoch completly, so i’ll sit/skip this season out anyway (if i ever get the mood for LE again to begin with, stuff like this can be a real dealbreaker for me), so the delay doesn’t hurt me either.
Still feel for the rest who is excited for S2, and hope that y’all will have fun once it drops & the wait worthed it.
Was planning on playing this and not even playing POE2 crap update… With this I probably wont even play the new update for this game now. Terrible choice people who played this game before and POE2 knows this game has a lot more content. Most people would have played this if they have played it before. Bad choice was made. RIP LE. Once people start to play POE 2 update 2 weeks wont cover it for most casual gamers. You gave up the advantage of launching update first and being like look how much better our game is and get the people hooked…
Did you really use your first post in these forums just to announce that you’re not playing Last Epoch’s next season, specifically in the Last Epoch’s next season announcement thread?
I can’t even word how little I like what GGG did because it would be most likely moderarted because there is nothing nice to say about it.
I think you did a good thing to move the release date but I realy hate that “might makes right” step GGG took. That was the first rock thrown and most likely the “gentlemans agreeement” to not compete about launch windows will go down the drain.
