Last Epoch’s Season 4 and Beyond: Expansion, Paradox Classes, and Roadmap

This is the roadmap that had to keep getting delayed???
There is no info what so ever in the roadmap… season 4 then season 5 then expansion, we basically new that already, doesn’t tell us anything about each season.
If this was what you worked so hard on, I don’t see how it was delayed week after week, Anybody here could of released the roadmap lol.

Good news guys for anyone looking for a roadmap for their favorite game, whatever ARPG it is the roadmap is below
season - season higher # then previous season

just completed a roadmap for multiple games and only needed a minute without multiple weeks of hard work

Im sorry, but the current classes still need so much work, more classes is honestly the last thing that should be on your mind.

This really seems like a poor decision paid or not.

Thank you, but no. I’d rather buy a couple of new classes than pay for a battlepass. If you enjoy systems that make you grind for cosmetics you’ve already paid for, I’d recommend trying Fortnite

I own this and all the supporter packs on PC. I plan on buying the PS5 version also. Please let my packs carry over. I don’t mind buying the game again but will not buy the supporter packs again. Charging twice for cosmetic packs wouldn’t be cool.

For me that’s a sign that they don’t no what makes the cut for S4. Be it for the better or worse.

Paid DLC Class(es) is really iffy… i’m not against per se, its just that it puts the game in a difficult position.
People who pay for it wants their moneys worth… meaning they want the class to be good.
For people who dont pay for it will feel the game is P2W. Its a loose loose situation unless the balance is 100% perfect which we all know wont happen.

Paid expansion is better with new class(es) is better way to go about it imo. YOu pay for the new content as well as a class. Not everything rides on the class being 100% perfect balance wise.

So many great ideas for an ARPG and such horrid execution both developmentally and managerially. so sad honestly, ggs guys

No, absolutely not!

I expected them to have us pay for their MTX and suffice with that.

But since they can’t get it assed to provide proper MTX and haven’t even been able to finish their damn game 1 1/2 years after release I guess it’s obvious why they don’t make money.

It’s simply a piss-poor product by now.

They had probably to decide if they provide us with Cycles at all given it’s ‘Subject to change’!

I would gladly pay 60$ for a supporter pack if i like the season but i will never pay not a penny for a class or whatever p2w feature!!! And ofc i would never buy a supporter pack to a p2w game! It’s simply a point of view no hard feelings!

Do you really think they can fully make a profit on MTX alone? No they cannot. It’s just asinine thinking. To each their own, if you’re mad and you don’t wanna play, don’t. Cya. I’ll be here. Happy to give them my money. The xpac is free, you people just keep moving the goalpost. You will never be happy. I want LE to be in the green because I want them to succeed.

I can give you countless examples on the spot of games that make a profit on MTX alone AND not paying a base price for the game.

Others can obviously. Isn’t tehre this game that sells a 50k$ MTC ship and people whale for it because they think it’s cool. PoE did this for a couple of years. So yes it can be done if it is done right.

Not with what they provided. True.

Also not with those types of supporter packs which have inherent marketing failures.

And also not when anyone compares em to any other game of the genre, with the interesting interactions, clearly visible effects or quite outstanding designs (good or bad… but visible).

Obviously they won’t be able to profit with for example a friggin dagger you cannot even see as it’s so small and does no effects.

It is free for people already owning the game.

And the expansion costing something is actually better then classes costing something. One is splitting the community… the other is P2W.

@Moxjet200 do you guys dont have the space for a Indie Game Designer, with thousands hours in RPG, from Brazil <.<?

My only concern regarding all this is the expansion been free and the new class been paid, the smartest solution for the long term of the game is clearly an expansion + new class as paid content as a whole, this fragmantation can only lead to unpleasant scenarios, no real reason to split thing like that.
And now you obviously can go back on that decision due to some backlash, the one that is in charge for these decisions should be supported by someone else for sure, especially for the future, because all the marketing choices done are in some way really bad.

edit. i would be clear, the problem is not paying, i have no problem with that, but the clumsy way it is handled thinking it will please.

rly? Suppose expansion will have a rune system? Then the players owning the xpac would have an advantage eh? Or you want an xpac without any new features?

I find this trend backwards and disturbing. Paid classes is basically his pay to win. Classes are never balanced. There is always a meta that outperforms anything else. Having paid classes limits player agency. I haven’t been a huge supporter of LE but I love it more than its competitors, this just hits all the red flags I have in a game. Paid cosmetics? It’s whatever par for the course but paid content I.E… paid classes…. Nope you’ve lost a player with this one. I can’t justify it unless it’s something extremely cheap like 2$ for the class, especially since you are using your player base to “test” these classes already showing they are NOT balanced.

Well, it was fun while it lasted. Paid DLC for new characters is a massive L. GG EHG.

Suppose it can be a basic system and not ripping of people. Like D4 adding runes only for ppl with the Expension was a swift kick to the nuts.
