What? Why would MG players need to farm gold when they can sell item for hundreds of thousands of gold? Harsh and undeserved nerf.
Plus the XP “fix” will only make the already tedious reputation farm even more tedious and long, after rank 6 every item faction rank feels like a unending slog :((
Profane Veil needs to be fixed. It’s not a nerf to the build, it’s a bug.
You then need to reset all warlocks to the highest level of a non warlock class.
Nerfing times of experience for CoF was stupid . We use that to get favor faster . I’d now recommend you triple the favor gained from tombs of experience (not the experience, just the favor )
Nerfing arena keys was also stupid. That was how I was making enough gold to buy all my stash tabs. Those prophecies were amazing. Can you please introduce some other prophecies then for gold . Just because we’re CoF doesn’t mean we don’t need gold.
I was also getting tonnes of fun from gambling gold in T4 dungeons and now I won’t be able to to do it as much .
Can i make a ‘small’ suggestion to this, because if that’s an geniune concern / issue of yours, wouldn’t it be better to give both factions their own currency? Like as a mere ‘example’. For CoF/Non-Faction Players: Gold. And for MG Players: Platin (or whatever).
Gold can be only used with characters which are CoF/Non-Faction, for Vendors, Stashtabs and Lightless Harbor. And you get them also as drops while you play with said faction/nonfaction or sell that faction/non-factionstuff.
Platin [placeholder] have s ‘similiar’ functionality, you also can use it the same way as ‘gold’, for Vendor, Stashtabs or Lightless Harbor and stuff, but you also can use it for the Bazaar. Items from the MG Factions also will be sold for Platin, so there is no real way to flip the currency.
And about the ‘key’ pricing, i personally don’t mind - i find it pretty weird to begin with that they’re sellable / sell for that much, and better gold-chances (for CoF) should be potentially adressed differently anway.
/Edit:
The Reason why i adress this way, is more my thought-process in the long run. If you see there is potential risk that people from the MG Faction feel encouraged or forced to shift over to CoF so they can amass some gold for Bazaar, than wouldn’t be adjusting the prices of the key (game-design-wise) not just be more of and bandaid, because people will always try to find the most efficient way to achieve that, and everytime the money-reward on CoF is slightly off/better you would need to adress this (and would then again hurt the CoF players).
Are you saying you only do hotfixes for servers? If there is no adjustment to the play that exploits the bug, users will take advantage of this and continue to try to find this ‘bug nature’ in the next season and the season after that. The community will share this and the number of users abusing the ‘buggy’ play will gradually increase. This will ultimately ruin the pure gameplay that ‘LE’ offers. An important issue is how the developer’s attitude toward bugs is received by users. If you deal with it carelessly, it will only become food for users who eat away at the game. I hope you reconsider.
Just made it to Echo’s. Was looking forward to getting some arena keys to buy stash space like my friends. Now there’s way less gold for me compared to them. So frustrating.
I can understand the idea of not making mid-cycle changes that affect balance, but…
Please reconsider your stance on not fixing Profane Veil.
This decision is probably going to put an end to LE.
You should be grateful that so many people post their opinions on the forum.
Most players who see this patch note will leave the game without saying a word and never return.
You wont fix Bugs like the Very Obvious ones with profane ?
You wont remove exploiters from ladders ?
You are showing you have no clue how a gaming community works anymore. Your “testers” will no longer report bugs and save them for the new ladders to abuse to secure their top spot.
I could care less about the ladders, but for anyone who does. Don’t waste your time unless you find a good bug/exploit… because as soon as someone else does… You will have wasted your time if you haven’t.
I am all for changes needed to stabilize the servers or prevent game slowdown/crashes. That should be the obvious first priority, and I am glad that EHG continues to work on those issues.
I do not like the arbitrariness with which balance passes were made here, with gold/EXP generation being decreased mid-cycle while unintended behavior with ward generation being left untouched. Either have a stance of not changing balance within a cycle or don’t, but please be consistent. This is especially important when leaving in bugs/unforeseen interactions while removing fully functional features from the game.
I am happy with my experiences with the game thus far and hope that the developer team can more fully explain their positions regarding patches and balancing.
After some deliberation, as this patch has ruined my experience of gameplay, Arens keys selling for gold is clearly a bug, and it should not have been nerfed. I expect to be able to play LE again soon when this is resolved. Someone who has played for 6 months, this patch is actually nothing short of a let down on choices and communication to new and older player alike.
I hope you read this and understand you’ve fundamentally changed a game many have played for months or years already. - and given us nothing back.
Ok, enjoy enjoy your changes then! Looking forward to future communication about fundamental changes you are imposing while continuing to allow bugs and exploits to proceed.
Oh I 100% will, thanks! I hope you will find it fun when you return, too.
Here’s your own words after last patch:
Big patch, thanks for everything!!
Maybe you’re reacting a bit too emotional for a very miniscule thing (at least in my own gameplay experience and in the grand scheme of things).
It’s fine to be upset about stuff but maybe try articulating why it is that big of a problem.
In terms of pure “gold generation”, literally just playing the game and getting shrines of wealth and opening chests post-completion offers you WAY more gold.
If you are suddenly missing half or two thirds of however much money you made, the method of how you made money might have been a little bit overtuned and - especially since RMTing is apparently becoming a problem - needed toning down.
