Ok bro the next cycle will be path of exile or POE2, stay with your beta forever. Good job with the fix in performance too, its a pleassure have a high end computer an have been forced to play at 1080p low settings with fps drops to 31-35 fps after your last patch.

BTW 14gb the last 2 patch… for fix 4 ui bugs, amazing!..

Well, let’s say good build can have 20k+ ward, i fyou invest right and abuse bugged interaction (it gives 10x times ward than supposed) you can get half a million ward on that build, and it’s not even an oversight, it’s a bug, that should be fixed on day 1 or asap, and they saying it would be like that for 4 months, don’t you see a problem here

They did this before, and it was somewhat acceptable since it was pre-launch and there was no actual economy and leaderboards were relatively irrelevant. Now it’s important that they fix their game and change their stance and we need to be loud about it. This backlash is exactly the healthy discourse we need. TL;DR A certain skill interaction makes you funktionally invincible for free

That’s a load of crap. You’re giving the exact reason why devs should not nerf in a season/cycle. The D4 ball wizard was a moderate advantage that made that build a OP due to stacking values (math) and even without any nerf, it was still outshined by Hammer Barb that same season. If D4 devs would have dared nerf ball lightning in season, the community would have imploded right then and there!
However, if you have a major game breaking bug where a build not just outshines others a bit, but ends up being the ONLY choice to go well beyond what anything else has to offer (like 500 corruption vs 2k+ on a single build using a single spell), then you have a game breaking bug which warrants immediate remedial.
Don’t compare pears and apples!

Wait that sucks, what about CoF players who use the gold for stash tabs or Lightless Arbor farming? Unnecessary nerf.

For the reasons described by many above, I believe significant balance issues (caused by unintended interaction or other bugs) should be fixes sooner than the next cycle.

How about a half way measure?

  • keep the current cycle period (3-4 months ish)
  • change the ladder system so that it resets mid-cycle (2 ladder competitions per cycle)
  • use the mid-cycle reset as an opportunity to fix balance issues that cross your metrics

At the moment, there is a huge disparity in gold making when associated with the merchants guild vs CoF. All Merchant guild streamers have 10M+ gold, all other schmucks like me have 200k avg. Merchant guild guys don’t care about farming keys, they roll in cash.
We suckers need everything we can get and we get an in cycle nerf for a pathetic 6k gold farm on a single key per run? This a joke?
Might as well gift all us poor CoF suckers 10M gold compensation so we don’t need to actually farm fucking keys for 6k gold when AH sellers roll in millions…

Seems like just DISABLING spells being able to be casted in the “pre mono” area with the stash and NPC would have been a fine fix vs nerfing the smoke ability.

Hey look, way to make keys even less worth picking up! For a game that’s loot-centric, you sure go out of your way to make people not want to pick anything up. Can I get a loot filter option to hide arena keys, since they are effectively worthless now? kthx Also, can you remove them from echo rewards as well.

God, I don’t understand this patch at all. Game is less than a month old, and these are the types of decisions we have to look forward to? But at least you are allowing exploiters to continue exploiting the game with known bugged interactions. #golfclap

I don’t want to see SET/KEYS as monolith node rewards, completely. This is a Joke and needs hotfix.

Also, COF is undertuned, there are no good drops from prophecies, favor farm is extremely slow, and now we have no GOLD to buy STASHTABS.

The interaction people are referring to is the combination of Profane Veil’s vampiric pool node (comsumes minions to gain %ward based on minion hp) and Bone Curse’s bone prison and ossify nodes (bone curse spawns high hp bone walls).

You manually cast Bone Curse and then consume the bone walls, which are considered minions, with Profane Veil to generate a ton of ward. You can easily get 100k+ ward if you stack some extra minion health.

It’s by far the best defensive ability combo in the game currently.

There’s no reason to have keys, just let people run the content. New World made that mistake too. Either keys are so abundant that they don’t matter or they are scarce enough to gate content too much.

that’s not even the bug. it’s that the node gives 40% of the minion hp as ward instead of 4%

hopefully cycle 2 will be a proper league start with none of these bugs and downtimes. really looking forward to it after some practice. ty for fixing things
