I cannot wait to see the list of all the new uniques. I already love the amulet for smelters and body amour I want to combo with the mountain relic that summons vial spirits, and dragon flame edict staff

Ok Rogue updates, cool. Seeing the new Set items, does that mean that the update will include changes to the Set items to make them more “usable” to the players or are we still going to be using them mainly to create Affixes for Exalted items?

I hope that content creators and sites that make builds post them have some type of clause or spoken agreement to not post builds prior to the release of season 4. If i remember correctly a previous season sites had early access to all the updates/changes/additions, and released build guilds before players could even get the joy of discovering it for themselves.

And yes i understand looking at their content is personal choice which is why i refrain.

1 month away!!!

It was supposed to be out months ago… And even more months ago. So much for Krafton.

We’re making balance adjustments to set items, but they’re still set items. They will never be as flexible to perfectly match your build idea as a hand-crafted reforged set item is. If your build happens to perfectly line up with it, a set item can potentially be better than a crafted version, as set items tend to have more unique effects than their crafted variants. Equipping a set item is also much easier than crafting a well made reforged set item, so it’s also a sort of ‘progression.’ I don’t believe we currently see this as an issue that set items evolve to reforged set items as a progression point rather than the default set item always being the best option.

Content creators are no longer part of the Community Tester Program so they can no longer test and polish builds before a season’s release. They will likely still post builds based on what works in the current season, and theorycrafting from patch notes - however those patch notes, and updated planners are available to everyone equally at the same time.

First off thank you for the reply.

Second that’s great. Not great they cant access it(dont matter either way 2 me overall), but for the potential for players to enjoy figuring out builds on their own if so desired.

I get this and sort of understand it, it’s just that so many Set items are not used at all and the ones that are happen to be used infrequently at best.

Glad there are some balance adjustments ahead for them, hope it makes them get used more.

The corruption results shown are kinda lame, not gonna lie, for such a high-risk gamble on top of all the gambles to achieve a decent item? Eh…
Interesting at times but eh…

Exulis is a interesting unique… Dexterity to Guile? Upper limit? Or will you become immortal at 1000 Dexterity? :stuck_out_tongue: Same with Apathy, upper limit?

Ash Wake could’ve potential. Dunno how well it plays with endless volatiles.

Rahyeh’s Embrace seems useless with the DR chests we have available. Don’t know if it’ll be viable in any way.

Doppelgänger set: Another evade focused item… evade won’t become ‘powerful’. By themselves they’re absolutely worthless taking up serious amounts of defensive and offensive options, and shattered the powerful affixes needed are lost nigh entirely.

Abandoned Set: Actually too powerful. +1 for all skills per 120 Attributes? That’s madness. With weaver synergy and armor mitigation? For 2 slots which are commonly not too powerful comparatively? Completely out of whack compared to other items.

The rogue blade skill seems nice though.

Overall balance mess again it seems.

That’s a fundamental aspect for non-creators which struggle with build design. Don’t look em up if you don’t want em.

Still one of the worst decisions of you guys to date. And I’m not even a content creator. It’s absolute nonsense what you did there and beyond reasonable. You’ve been called out severely for it and it’s a detriment to your product.

Or…you simply use it for HoA to make the gameplay less clunky and to dish out damage quicker with Shift.

At the cost of 3 item slots mind you. What else would you use in those specific places? Specifically… the chest slot, which is one of the most powerful slots in terms of uniques. Not a single build won’t strive for using a unique chest, and the difference is either between primary skill empowerment or pure DR.

Depending on the new set affixes i would craft a relic with it and use the primo ring for 3 set bonus to keep ravagers dart. You dont need red rings when you cant get hit

That’s a fair argument! :stuck_out_tongue:
Yeah, core item useless… Affix might be decent, true.

I’ll be jumping back in to check it out!

Looks great, bravo EHG

Omens, chain, idols and new items all look really cool and a lot of fun.

Corruption though, still looks average and not really needed with such a cool crafting system (apart from FP roll range on runes which I’ll never stop crying about)

Can’t wait for the 26th!

PS I really hope the encounters start very early in the game and they’re hard for some added challenge and they give experience. I hate when encounters are added, you’re killing stuff and you don’t gain experience.

I’m going to go out on a limb and bet they’re going to introduce better balanced new sets going forward, with everything they’ve learned over the last ten years. And old sets will more be for those crafted set items. Kinda like how most older uniques can be pretty underpowered but make good ‘levelling/progression’ pieces if you find them early on.

I think they’ll always have stuff like that but going forward I won’t be surprised to see newer sets a little bit more ‘competitive.’ Maybe still not fully endgame unless it really fits the build but still more usable.

If that makes sense.

The new idol layout creation is friggin’ cool!

Some of those new uniques look great and I love some of the new abilities with chains to modify echoes.

Looking forward to unpacking everything.
