Last Epoch and family sharing

Hello there! Was sharing this game to my friends and suddenly he can’t play it anymore from my library since it says “purchase”, but could until a few hours ago. Did the policy of the share changed?

seems like family sharing has been disabled.
i have two steam accounts and bought game on one (by mistake) so i used family sharing to play on main account and today i also can’t play and lost all my characters and progress

I was playing from my friend’s account, but whatever. Bought the game and all my data it’s still here! sucks to live those situations due to others fault (bot exploiting and such) but can’t do anything more than continue to support EHG for their works so i bougth my copy.

We have unfortunately had to disable family sharing on Steam for Last Epoch.

This feature enabled the use of significant RMT (Real Money Trading) and Botting options, and was removing our ability to ban/remove accounts, faster than they could share them with their entire networks. This resulted in a significant amount of spam, RMT abuse, Gold Selling, and Botting, all within less than two weeks.

Disabling Family Sharing was necessary to combat these RMT services abusing this feature hurting the in-game experience for all players. We continue to prioritize player experience, from quality of life features in game design, to incorporating feedback, to social interactions within Last Epoch. With that, we want to ensure you that we will continue to explore options for how we might be able to support this feature, as well as ban these offending accounts to help keep Last Epoch a welcoming community for everyone.

Depends on how far in the future we’re looking. We want to find a solution that allows us to have it again in the future. I believe we can transfer MTX Inventory / coins through support, however we can’t transfer character/stash data. It’s very unsafe to do extra script modifications to the character data database and risks causing significant issues with character data for both the account transferring into, as well as other data.
