Just wanted to say that after a great start and feeling that i’ve found a game that is so different form ususal ARPG that are now on market i just hit the wall. Lagon kill my hapiness from the game tried to beat him like 50 times but each time he kills (one mistake and you’re dead). Bit disapointing (and there is no way that i accept: “change your build” etc.) i choose to play that way becouse i like that style and thought that finally i found game that supports it (alowing to build what you want and enjoy). So… now being left with feeling that i waste my money before can get to the “good stuff” (like prophecies, monoliths etc…)… Tried to play for few last day but “lost my heart for this game”. Godbye
Lagon is crushing dreams every day, doing Gods work.
The fight is doable with any build as far as I know. What do your stats look like? What’s killing you?
The number one problem I think people have fighting Lagon is to low health (for waves) and dont know his face is where he telegraphs his eye beam (eyes turn red and he looks to where he will attack) and both that and his moonbeam are easy enough to dodge.
Building any build is viable to beat him but that doesnt mean you wont need adjustments for some bosses. Part of the game is figuring out why you are failing and adjust skills/passives/gear to adapt.
I would say that what kill me is that im unable to observe so many things on screen… like watchin my health at same time watching if my minions live (i use only minions: skeletors/mages/golem/ghost/zombies) , whathing when lighting strikes, watching his eye, his hand… too many thing to watch same time … not mentioning awoing waves … health is 650 stats is 24 Inteligence and 1/2 in other… resistance is around 50 for all except phisical (25) frost (75) and void (0)… third stage is killer for me
Yeah your health is way to low. Health and ward prob the two most defensive stats i think.
Whats your crit avoidance?
If you can’t beat him because you have weak gear or you are mechanically bad, just go farm mono and come back strong enough when you can just face tank everything
And cold and lightning resistances, if I remember right.
oh and one more… this part of the game feels like some strategy game or orher type where you need to be fast react (like shooter) … same was in D3 as a exampe in act 2 … not the type of the gameplay that i was expecting in arpg … i would like to smash mobs not become master strategis …
farming mono before the good stuff? so spend another 20/30 hours without most eficient ways to get gear … well that is what i have in other arpg games on the market and my expectation afer 50 hours was that this game is different… as i said it all hapiness was killed now is just slow grind … i do not need another game with slow grind to do small progress … if i like that i would stay with the main stream choises for the arpg
You want an arpg that isnt a grind? The grind is kinda the defining trait of arpgs.
Just to put this out there im on my first roll in LE and there was two or three times I thought i had this game figured out just to realize I was wrong on how damage scaling works or whats more important defensively and had to respec.
Lagon does suck when you first encounter him, I remember that.
The mistake the OP made here is to try over and over again until he got frustrated. The right thing to do here was to start farming monoliths and upgrade build/gear, then try again. Would have helped to read online about Lagon and how to beat him too.
Once you get to Lagon, you’re high enough level to do early monoliths. You’ll get XP pretty quickly, and might get a few upgrades.
Lagon is a surprise for EVERY new player. Most of the game has been a breeze up to that point, but Lagon forces everyone to make adjustments.
Later, Go back to D4 you whiner
A lot of people really do not like gimicky boss fights. Insta kills, super accelerated damage over time spots (1 sec and you’re dead no matter what). The dungeons should be harder. Not the bosses.
No need to change your build, just get Lightning, Cold and Physical protection and get as much Crit Avoidance as you can get. I would also advise a lot more health!! Around 1100 should do it if got all the defensives in place. Try and get OVER 75% in each if possible, as he can penetrate some of that 75%, so having extra will negate that.
I’m a new player and I’ve managed it with a Ranged Fire Nercomancer minion build and a Melee Harvest Poison Warlock. The key is defensives not stacking your dps. I had to farm some gear before I tried it, as my first attempt ended within 10 seconds!
After each death you’ll be notified the type of damage that killed you. Eg cold or lightening.
Hope this helps.
I liked the boss fights, it’s the trash killing I hate. Seems meaningless and brain dead in places. I like to work for my rewards.
I’d love it if there was an ARPG that focused on mechanics for every fight, even trash. I’ve just seen a video by DarthMicrotransacrion on “No Rest For The Wicked” that looks pretty sweet and seems a lot more mechanic focused!!!
You don’t have to change your build.
You don’t have to max out your resistances.
Lagon stops being a problem when you look at Lagon himself for the telegraphs. His eye opens, turns red and he moves to the spot before firing the beam. If you don’t know this, you’ll get hit by the beam with no time to react. If you do know this, you’ll have plenty of time to move to the other side of the field before the beam even fires.
Basically everything else on story lagon doesn’t do much damage.
thanks for all comments. Seems that i will take a break and rest from the game for a while. With fresh head and more free time in some future i will try … or not we will see.
