Lack of Avatar Customization Will Lose You Players

He talking about immersion but wants his warlock to look like a K-Pop princess instead of a goth girl…

PS: If it comes up, id rather have them work on more endgame polishing and content and not player housing.

I agree with you. That is one thing I think the game is missing out on. I do not like playing a preset character. One reason I can’t get into JRPG. There have been a few games out there that are great even tho. I do wish there was the option to change character models. Even if it wasn’t an in-depth creation. Just being about to go from male to female with the class and maybe have like 3 to 5 preset models for each like tall or short big or skinny. Would still make the character feel something mine. However, if they did this people would still complain about wanting more. At the end of the day, gameplay and other stuff are more important than a character creator.

Is this an option?! I want this!

I want my necro to look like a ballerina with a pink tutu.

Yeah, i would like to play Sentinel, yet i am not Black. I dont have anything with Blacks (Same with the Witch for example, that also interests me, but i hate playing as girls), but i ALWAYS, ALWAYS play the games with the characters looking like me. Or at least closest resemblence possible… Closest is the mage, so im going with the mage… (although im not that old, i have to RP im old in Last Epoch, if i dont like the gameplay of Mage, im screwed)

Im a white male, want to play as a White Male, i forgot the Primalist is also a white male, yes its way bulkier than i am, but i can live with that …

There should at the very least be

Race Color
Sex
Hair Color
Hair Style

Thats it … I know adding stuff like different body types would change much how the armor behaves, also it would kind of stupid having like a Primalist being lean or a bulky mage …

If you really can’t get over the character model not looking like you, then yes, you’re limited in your choices. Or you wait until they eventually add more models. Considering that all the animations for the current models along with gear are still not finished, it might be a while. And the most likely first improvement is to add the other gender, which is also a huge amount of work.

I can with alts but then, i never give alts the same love.

Maybe Helms can save me with the Sentinel, if the whole body is covered …

Yes, I definitely want this. Along with the Lebowsky model for my mage.

And it doesnt have to look like me, it has to resemble me… for example…

I WISH i looked like my Diablo 4 Barbarian. LOL … But my Diablo 4 barbarian looks, how i would look like if i were a 2 meter sculptured god

i dont know if you follow me

With the Mage i guess i can RP that thats how i would look like if i was an old Sage… Because at least its a white male, somehow similar

Yes, I do understand. And I realize that is important for some people. It’s just not a priority right now because the current animations aren’t finished yet and gameplay features are more important. Especially because you end up not really seeing your model most of the time because of gear.

Isnt there Helm Hide ?

I buy all the helm mtx, then hide the helm graphic on my characters. Because… edgy.

I don’t think so. I never really looked for that, though.

Customization in D4 is more important because your character shows up in the cinematics. You end up seeing it all the time. In LE you mostly just see it on the character screen.

I’m not minimizing your issue, just pointing out that it’s not a priority and will likely be a while until it is.

Well, even if armor is the feature, some armor helms can look horrible.

I understand devs prioritizing gameplay, but no ammount of gameplay can substitute attachment. theyve said that they want particular builds to feel different, cant really feel different with everyone running around looking exactly like you …

I’m going to project that we’re similar. You want the first char you create in a game to be similar enough to your appearance that it fills the “what if I lived in this world” fantasy.

After that, you create other chars and they scratch the, “how does this char type play/will I like it” itch and fulfill the “what if I was that type of char” fantasy (which isn’t as strong as the previous fantasy).

So I get what you are saying. This game isn’t there yet, though they have hopes. I like the primalist sub-classes, so you definitely could do worse.

Yeah im still undecided between Primalist and Mage … I liked the Sorcerer but then Rune Thingy is pretty much Sorcerer on steroids. As for the Sentinel, the Forge Master i was kinda curious about.

As for the primalist im torn between the beastmaster or the druid. I played the game back about 2 months ago, and it looked worse than it does now… Will see how the druid looks and feels as well.

I think my first char is going to be a mage, we will see…

Me too TBH.
