Keeper Vault Boss Fight Crash

I’m aware there’s a bug talking to an NPC after the fight, however this bug is not related to that issue.

Each time I enter the Keeper Vault, enter through the door, clear the upper half on each side and then descend the stairs to the circular arena to fight the first boss. I get a few hits in on the surrounding enemies and then when the boss moves to attack the game freezes and will not respond. Eventually I have to close the game fully and restart. I have attempted this twice with the same character with exactly the same results.

I’ve used the client to verify the game files and there are no missing or corrupt files. I am playing in Offline mode.

I’ve reviewed the bug reports and can’t find anyone else having reported this as an issue. I’m including the last two player logs which will hopefully help in identifying the trigger for this bug.

Thanks to the team for hopefully looking into and resolving this. I know there’s a lot to get through in this first week!

Further update.

I first encountered this crash while playing my first character of Acolyte.

I then created a Sentinel and progressed without any crash error. I then created a Primalist and again, no crash error.

I’ve just created a Mage and experience two back to back crashes. The first was reading the notes after the fight and the client froze. The next was as per the first issue, middle of the fight and the client crashes. Very frustrating and I hope this is resolved soon.

I see the same issues referenced in both:

The referenced script (WFX_LightCurves) on this Behaviour is missing!
The referenced script on this Behaviour (Game Object ‘Point light’) is missing!

I can see further in the log that there is reference to the unloading of Assets to reduce memory storage. Is it possible that the game is failing to find the Game Object because of this unloading? Is this likely due to hardware constraints of my system and would lowered settings perhaps help?

So I adjusted a bunch of Graphics settings to Very Low or Off where possible and while correlation is not necessarily causation, I was able to take my Mage past the Keeper Vault where it was previously crashing.

I’ll try my Acolyte build as well a bit later and see if this also makes it through.

Further update: I have now been able to progress my Acolyte past the Keeper Vault without issue.

So if anyone else seems to be having this type of issue, it might be worth lowering some of the graphical settings till the bug hunters can resolve this.

Same problem for me, was doing it before release but seems worse now. Literally crash evertime I hit the stairs. I’ve set every possible setting to low or off and nothing changes.

It might be worthwhile double checking your graphics settings again.

A couple of days ago I was experiencing constant crashing at random times and locations and I discovered that one of the most recent patches reset all my graphic settings to be at the maximum option.

Since adjusting them back down again the game has been stable without a single crash and my system monitoring is indicating everything is operating in a comfortable range.
