Item rework thread - all suggestions welcome

Nothing wrong with 500,-700 at all. it’s great for testing builds around there (and also the most fun for playing the game) then moving up if they can cope. I also like testing on normal shade and confluence shade as well as Black Sun bosses. My ref frame was just based off you saying incredibly strong vs strong.

I think a pinnacle boss is a fair point of ref, definitely not seconds - that’s a build / skill that needs nerfing. 3-4 minutes, much better. 2 would be very strong. 16 mins like a bro with fractral tree spent on his FG throwing a jav, that was commitment lol.

It doesn’t even need to be killing him, a lot of time’s I would just test phase one damage output on him pre-slam to see if you can get to 80% (a good marker for strong builds) or 64% I think it is which brings out the harb right away post slam (VERY strong builds). You can potentially kill him if you only get him to 90% but you’re going to be in for a rough ride, specially during his last phases.

I just think eternal eclipse needs a rework as the builds I tried with it the synergies of the sword’s mods really didn’t shine or allow much dmg output on dummys or corruption.

I don’t think I said Glads was bad did I? Dancing strikes is not the smoothest skill hence clunky but again I think it was referring to the sword being much weaker than other potential very easy to get swords which will allow you to push higher and output much more dmg and so I said maybe make it a higher level req and give it a buff.

Can I just say when I reference “builds I’ve seen” whilst playing LE I literally do nothing else I wake up at 7 have my caff hit, wait a bit have brekky. I’ll be on LE all day until I leave the house for gym, couple of hour round trip due to walking time then back on LE until 10pm or more. I literally have no life when consumed so during that time I’ll spend hours and hours on youtube looking for builds using skill names or weapon names, I’ll sift reddit, I’ll sift these forums, I’ll check discord channels and I ask in game global if anyones doing XYZ build and can i check their characters. Sometimes I’ll post in a thread “has anyone seen this” as well. In all my time playing 1500+ hours I’ve never seen anyone link an eternal eclipse in game to brag which shows me it needs work or more LP (I’m sure someone has but I’ve not seen it).

I also wanted to point out again - I don’t play play Mage or Aco - I’ve tried early when I started but I’m shit at them so all my hours go in to Rogue/Sent/Prim hence my item choices early on.

I’d be super happy in any instance with any items if someone was to say “heres a video of me doing XYZ with this weapon” I love seeing offbook stuff it’s why I love watching Dr3adful’s vids before he recently rage quit, lol.

Anyways I think it could do with a look at, I think glads has a really cool unique modifier thats really good but over all it needs a buff to shine and make it more chased due to a few other stronger options. That’s all.

Also most of my monos are at 300-500, one at 1000ish for imprint farming and then usually just 1 which I push super high due to no life status. I prefer playing around 500-1000 on most chars it’s the most fun area.

That’s fair, but again some items are just not popular because they are hard to build around. So it’s very unlikely somebody making a video on it for example.

I had some of my most fun build with Eternal Eclipse.

Void Cleave can be Void + fire Tag so utilizing both modifiers on the same use. Then I used the Travel Node and reduced the cooldown to just slightly over 2 seconds so I could spam it as much as possible while still benefitting from Eternal Eclipse on every use. That was the most ridiculous and fun build I did on a Sentinel for a long time. Essentially it felt like a ninja dashing around the battlefield and one shot ting everything (Void Cleave has a very high damage effectiveness and Eternal Eclipse essentially giving up to 480 flat melee damage when you have Fire and Void Tag).

I did some videos on off meta stuff every now and then but there is essentially almost no interest in it (at least on this forum and reddit from my experience)

I think I did a video for Event Horizon a few month’s/years back. I can’t remember why I did it. I think we had some similar discussions where people claiming certain things are bad/unplayable or so. Can’t remember exactly.

I am on my tablet right now so hard to find it, can look later if you are interested. But I think it was just 1 or 2 videos on regular Aberroth, so nothing super high endgame.

Well from some of your previous comments it didn’t seem like that is the range you play the game in. This makes me understand all your feedback and suggestions even less now  I thought all your feedback was from a 4 digit plus corruption player’s view, which would make sense but that is not the norm.

Within the 300-500 range I think all the items you mentioned are totally viable and fine.

I’d like to make some of the uniques a bit better and add stuff like +Levels to them.

I wanted to do a build with Event Horizon with channelled melee Healing Hands as that ignores the attack speed entirely & always does 4 hits/sec.

Yeah that is some of the more obvious choices together with Uphaval Earthshatter node, which removes attack speed scaling from it, but in this case its an “upside”.

There are some cool ways to build the item

To be fair I often come across sounding like a complete dickhead and despite best attempts to re-write it it’s still bad. I write as if you and me would be talking at work - my grammar is horrible! I wall of text all the time. I’d have to put my comments into chatgpt and add “please polish this, make it sound polite and casual” but I’m also really lazy haha! I definitely did use my 1 timeline as a dick move to show off and sound better than but I honestly enjoy playing lower because I make a LOOOOOT of alts. Like I don’t generally respec I play the whole campaign using twinked up trip 7 slams on easy to get items with max move speed just makes it feel like I’m getting the feel of the skills as I go.

Reason I dislike Event is purely the movespeed/attack with dilation which limits builds using it which as you mentioned is fine but the builds that it limits to are also not overly powerful -in comparison- and mapping speed is out right painful, least for me. The mace looks so cool~

I love maces and wish there were more, specially 1 handed but also a few more 2 since more of my builds ended up 2H axe or spear this season. I’d always try find a mace in Poe1/2 as well but 90% of my builds were stronger with an axe or sword and staff was/is a crazy strong.

PS If I ever come across like a dickhead again (it’ll def happen) just tell me to STFU or not to be a defensive lil bish and screen shot this section then paste it in each time to mock me lol

Tomb and Arbo - I use for levelling twinks when they’re slammed they’re good as. I don’t like any of the other stuff even though third eye, scav and strong mind drop as LP4 items a lot of the time when I’m doing prophecies, they’re still not great for anything really (imo)

I totally misread what you said there, anyway…

This should have been completely overhauled when they re-did poison back in 0.9.

Items that could use work / additions from a fire caster build PoV:
https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAwRgzALATArEA - Wildfire Embers is undertuned both mechanically (its Ignite proliferation works not like stated in description and copied spells don’t benefit from their skill tree) and numerically wise (given benefits are less than some non-Primordial unique amulets like Omnis and Nihilis). Wildfire Embers should be both buffed to be comparable to other primordial uniques and fixed (its Ignite proliferation and copied skills should work like expected).
https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAwRlDYE4g - Aergon’s Refuge while providing decent defensive bonuses is too defensive based and leaves fire non-minion caster builds with no suitable high level 2H weapon to scale. To address that - both Aergon’s Refuge could receive several offensive modifiers (to make it a hybrid of defense and offense) and new unique high level offensive staves for fire caster builds could be added.
1H + Focus builds can use items like https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAzBsBYGYCYg Horn of the Bone Wisp and off-hand, but have similar issue where there is no suitable offensive off-hand to scale fire caster builds outside of https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAzDMwdgFiA Ignivar’s Head that is limited to Disintegrate only and https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAwRgzCCcCsQ Scales of Eterra which are limited to cross-element builds and its downside is quite / too punishing. Please both look at Scales of Eterra and provide proper high level offensive offhand to scale fire caster builds too akin to https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAzBsCYA5SA Fragment of the Enigma for lightning builds.

In addition to that:

The proliferation works exactly like the description says, ignites are “spread among”, ie, shared, not proliferated like we’re used to in PoE. The latter is a bug. We all wish that the ignites were proliferated rather than shared, but this is a design decision on the devs part, sadly. I don’t disagree, just making sure you understand (it’s nit broken so won’t be fixed).

Wildfire amulet works as intended. Proliferation is not a Copy to all, it is a Amount to be distributed between. If some skills/nodes are bugged - report them.
This unique is one of my favs in S3
Abyssal echoes, removed CD, turned into fire - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4JMgtUwjfJI

I think those need to be broken down per class, because from this graph 14.4% isn’t that much.
But on the other hand what this gives me is an interest in the least used items. Changing them to be alternatives to the ones used most could be a good way of shaking things up a bit.

Least used ones = 0 builds. Literally. Out of %% list

And as I remember - 2 of 3 S2 2h Weaver weapons are missing. Only Clotho was played n listed by travelers
Orb Weaver - 0%. One thing will make it fun - change from Low hp to High hp trigger
https://www.lastepochtools.com/db/items/UAzCMBZgViA
Essence Weaver - 0%. Hard to charge, hard to utilize. Smite? No, fissure will not proc, it is limited to direct cast only

Noone puts leveling uniques into their builds in the planner.

True.

Unless it’s a leveling guide.

Into endgame planner - sure. But what if item is S2 unique for 68lvl?

It may only make sense to include them in build planners for alt leveling. And overall there are not that many leveling guides.

I’m confused. I’ve never used the item but yhis is what I assume would happen. You melee mobs & after 9 melee-skill-uses-that-all-hit-a-target the essences that have been building up get consumed & the item randomly chooses 1 of the 3 skills to proc. I would then assume that if you happen to have that skill specialised then the proc uses your skill tree? That’s generally what happens.

How is it difficult to charge up? Do the stacks have a short duration?

Edit: It didn’t quite work how I expected it to, it doesn’t cast 9 lots of a single randomly chosen skill, it randomly chooses 9 times out of 3 skills, so you’ll get a mix. Charging it up is easy as long as you’re not using a channelled melee skill like Warpath and the counter resets on changing areas, but it does use the spec’d skill’s tree. Though the procs don’t appear to proc procs, so a proc’d Frost Claw doesn’t seem to cast Ele Novas if you have that node :disappointed:

This one seems to be a “3 skill per second” requirement for optimal charging. Melee. With 2h. While you’ll not benefit from +AS on weapon for procs and should look for dmg output affixes. For spells. And all procs are different dmg type
