Is Assembled Abomination truly that weak?

What if I do not want to play what everyone else is playing? I am not following a guide because I want to figure things out on my own.

And I am having fun playing with my abomination. And honestly, it is the only one for which right now his life NEVER drops, even a little, during monoliths. Golems gets injured and I sometimes need to recast them, skeletons sometimes needs to be recasted as well. Not the abomination.

And without the awesome helmet, playing a wraithlord is out of the picture.

was answering this in your OP

Looking for recommendation there. Should I just drop the abomination?

but you do you lol, go have fun with the big boi.

True, I was asking for help at that time. Since then, I gained like 20 levels and reworked my skills and gears a lot.

I literally just dropped wraithlord on my second character because how buggy he is. Its cool to one shot things at low corruption but once you get higher and your wraith lord is trying to sacrifice the air, things get frustrating. Wouldnt recommend wraithlord to anyone wanting to climb corruption until they fix his bugs.

you need the minion teleport on boots or to swap transplant with skele mage teleport
if wraith lord starts skating around you can reset its AI by teleporting it
also when you enter new zones always replace and rebuff your wraithlord, prevents lots of buggy shit from happening.

there are plenty of videos of people pushing corruption with it, highest ive seen is 1k.
when it does get bug fixed is probably when it gets nerfed lol.

I am playing wraithlord and I don’t even care how buggy the AI is. Crit’ing for 111k is fun

I have a perm minion build and it’s wonderful

Who wants to focus on unbugging your minion while fighting…Im sure there are people that climbed high with it but far fewer then other masteries for sure. Im currently 1.2k corruption on my warlock and it cant be compared to a buggy wraithlord.

1200 corruption?
Would you share your build? I’m curious to see what you are using.

its not that bad lol, your making it sound like its unplayable but it really isnt, the main point was getting minion teleport on your movement skill, which you use all the time anyway so there is no “focusing” happening at all.

pretty sure warlock is bugged too, profane veil + bone wall tech is giving 10x the ward its supposed to be, its everywhere on ladder.

He used warlock lmao

My abom build is in 300 corruption now. Been on the runemaster. Don’t know how far you can push with it. Just messing around but it’s pretty easy.
abom
Skeleton
Mage
Dread shade
Infernal shade
Transplant

Bone Golem and Abomination are known as THE big minion builds

and they usually hit like trucks when set up correctly

so no, they are not weak, at least not when set up correctly.

Which in the first place I started this thread, to see if I might have did it wrong

I am currently level 93 and working on getting the last 2 blessings set up in monoliths. So only the starting 100 corruption yet keep that in mind.

I swapped out skeletons a while ago because they were dying too often for me and my setup is currently:

Skeleton mages. 5 pyromancers because fireball has 175% damage effectiveness compared to dread bolt or ice projectile which has 150% and fireball also has 34 base dmg compared to 30 for others.

2 permanent fire wraiths.

3 full size ice golems with the help of the unique chest.

Permanent abomination. He hits pretty hard but needs added base damage to compliment his high more damage multipliers and compensate for the measly 18 dmg of his melee attack.

Volatile zombie. You automatically summon zombies every 5 seconds by holding down the skill button, they blow up, mark enemies for death, execute 16% life enemies, they have a chance to revive thanks to the ring, they leave 3 vanguards which get exploded by the mages, 6 maggots which armor shred and die easily. On top of that, every minion death has 12% chance to summon a vanguard for more explosions and this whole cycle gives you a consistent 1000+ ward.

I think this build or something similar to this is the closest you will get to a lazy pure minion necro build. The minions don’t die easily, they deal fairly good damage, they do satisfying big hits and explosions all the while you walk around pressing right click every 5 or so seconds.

Also I think abomination is a good skill to use. He just needs some investment in the forms of added base damage (passives, items) and increased damage (int and inc minion dmg).

A few of my key items in case anyone finds them useful:

Legendary Aaron’s will with +1 max skeleton

Could use exsanguinous for more tank

Legendary Chronostasis with 23 added minion melee and spell damage

Cycle of putrescence

Hollow finger

Last steps of the living

Ambitions of the erased acolyte

% missing health gained as ward gauntlets

And get as much added skill levels, int and minion damage as possible.

Idk how well it will go at high corruption but this is what I’ve been doing so far and it’s been working out great. Hope it helps.

I appreciate this.

I swapped for a different character for the sake of breaking the monotony (playing an Aura of Decay lich) so again a low APM build. I am in chapter 5 right now and I have a blast playing that.

If you can id get logi hunger amulet with some LP and slam some other minion stuff on it. It adds another +2 fire minion levels, phys and necro resist and I believe its base minion crit strike chance

Looks like a great unique to use. Thank you, I will do that.
