I'm done. COF sucks

Exactly :+1:

Also CoF is more suited for SSF (challenge) play

You have to, the game offers them to you as direct counterparts.

I’m not too worried though the dev said on stream they have data on how fast both factions gear up.
There’s no way CoF doesn’t get a buff with how bad it is right now.

Not at all. It is just you who wants it to read it that way.

CoF needs two things to be on equal footing with MG:

  • The ability to improve drop rates for boss farmable items

  • Improvements to crafting

I’m @ ~200 hrs, and it does seem like what CoF really does is create more garbage for you to sift through. It’s really hard to say because I don’t know drop rates themselves are the same since beta, but it really seems like the drop rate of decent gear is about the same, and I’m just being inundated with a rain of garbage. At the very least they need to figure out some way to make CoF traits apply to Boss drops, since those items are so often build defining.

Yup !

Bullshit. I’m over 400 corruption on 2 character. I barely get any 2lp, let alone the good ones.

Dont feed the trolls folks. Thats al this is.

The amount of randomness in this game seems akin to the initial launch of D3, which nearly died before Loot 2.0 came around in the xpac. There’s so much crap, you’re really just hoping against hope that something useful drops.

I believe CoF should actually allow you to “target farm,” as in being allowed to select the specific item. Then perhaps CoF bonuses could up the chance of obtaining that specific item, or maybe even attach a long chain of prophecies that when complete would guarantee you the item.

I think the entire concept of CoF needs to be changed. Fundamentally the reason MG is better than CoF is because it allows you a way to bypass the RNG via distributed farming via the market.

Until CoF also has a means to allow bypass of RNG, it will always be worse. So the simple answer is that CoF shouldn’t be a loot drop guild, but a crafting guild. I also think it’d be a whole lot more engaging to the players.

Imagine if instead of the tiers of CoF we have now, instead they allowed you to: Add forging potential to items, guarantee you get at least one of each affix when you shatter, target Runes of Removal at specific affixes, convert Rares into Exalted, Convert a T6 into a T7, upgrade a T7 item to have one of it’s other affixes T6, Craft Runes of Creation, or even add levels of LP to a unique?

All of this would have to be balanced, of course, and the cost for some of those things would need to be quite high. But the point would be that, just like MG, CoF becomes also deterministic, if you are willing to put the time in. More chances on the RNG wheel is never going to be equal to a clear goal for what it takes to get where you need to go.

Fundamentally better to you. If you prefer MG, play MG. I prefer CoF, because I believe it is fundamentally better to me. We don’t need to argue about this, it’s a pointless debate. The only thing CoF enjoyers can agree on is that rank 9 is kinda pointless right now, but otherwise we like it. I play this game for the fun of cool and better loot to drop. I don’t want to trade. I didn’t even expect CoF to exist at launch, I was prepared to just play without it. I’m thrilled I got it.

I like what Vaysh is describing better than what CoF currently is. I’m a ‘never trading’ player, it’s just not the way I want to play, so I’m CoF or nothing.

OF course it’s better to me. I’m the one typing these words. Why would you assume I was attempting to speak for everyone? Is that how you interpret things every time someone states an opinion?

As mentioned by someone before all CoF needs (and it needs hard) is somehow buff boss drops, as it really sux big time. The rest is completly ok.
