Has the Channeled Wandering Spirits been fixed in Cycle 1.1?

Since he doesnā€™t mention why itā€™s not working anymore, itā€™s hard to say whether itā€™s been ā€œfixedā€ or not.

If the bug is the spirits fading shortly after you stop channeling, then itā€™s not fixed.
Iā€™m playing mostly a variant of this build this cycle for the first time. Didnā€™t even know it was a bug before checkin the video you posted.

I thought that was how it was supposed to work, given the base skill says that the spirits fade after the reveal duration ends & that would be when you stop channelling. I thought the channelling node used to explicitly state that.

Yeah, thatā€™s what the node says. It drastically increases reveal rate, but reveal time is only during channeling.
Always thought it was how the skill was intended to work, but in the video, it shows the spirits lingering a while longer after he stops channeling.
Since itā€™s the first time Iā€™m using the skill, I never knew itā€¦ So maybe the skill could have been bugged before and fixed now?

Thatā€™s what I thought & what I assume is the case.

Iā€™m interested in this channeled skill and build because is it rather unique. Iā€™ve said to many friends that it looks like the LE devs were reading the D3 vanilla forums and taking notes. There were ideas many years ago, about how to fix one of the D3 Wizardā€™s skill runes to make it viable. However, Blizz devs and management are pig headed and never listened. We may have a unique take on such a skill with channeled wandering spirits. Of course I was very excited about the idea. If the devs can just clarify:

  1. Is it working or not working
  2. If it is not working, approximate when will it be fixed

I see they got disintegrate working in cycle 1.1. What up with them spirits?

Disintegrate was never bugged, it was just shit & only ever less shit if you used the Gamblerā€™s Fallacy/Ignivarā€™s Head interaction. The devs decided that they wanted to remove that interaction, presumably to give the skill some more options, so they had to buff it significantly.

Wandering Spirits is in a different place. Thereā€™s questions as to whether the skill is bugged or not, personally Iā€™m leaning towards not given the wording of the skill.

I think you may have misread or read to much into my statement about disintegrate. Yes it was not viable so they buffed it. Now it is viable (read: working). Iā€™m going to switch this thread from general to the tech support forum. The devs may not even see this in general. I did ask in the comments of the youtube video if the build/skill was fixed but Iā€™ve yet to get any response from the video author. Also he does not explain what is ā€œnot workingā€.

For anyone who believes that it is working, can you:

  • post a link to a full planner of your character
  • provide details on the buildā€™s performance
  • are there any weak spots?

Given the issue appears to be whether the Spirits disappear immediately after channelling or stick around for their normal duration, only the devs can say what is intended or not.
