The build planner is more optimized and was put together like 2 weeks after the video.
The planner takes advantage of future strikes on hit which will gain the throwing tag nad proc a smite.
In other words the build planner does more damage. I would go with it.
First off, excellent build Been having a lot of fun with it and it’s getting better as I fine tune it, though might have gone a bit far with the health regen
I was wondering a few things regarding weapons and the loot filter…
Would the Blade of the Forgotten Knight be a possible substitute for the Scepter, if you want more dps or would it be a dps loss? I have tried to see, but I can’t make up my mind…
Secondly, does the loot filter single out items that have Increase Void dmg + Void spell dmg and Mana on Smite use?
I am almost 90 now and I don’t have more than a few of these and those I have only found by chance… They seem really rare? Asking as I couldn’t see anything in the loot filter and I added my own to specifically recolor those two and don’t want to “crash” anything
But thanks for an awesome build though
You wont crash anything. Adding in the rules can only help to spot them.
You can run blade of the fogotten knight but i would run it on the offhand instead of shattered lance and keep the sceptre if your wanting more damage.
But won’t that really take away the regen strength of this build? lose 6% regen per point of strength as you break the shattered lance set?
And it’s just for bosses really, inregards to the dps as I find that you do really low dps on some of them, whilst others are more what you would expect.
Though I noticed that the build planner had much less atk. throwing speed… is that a factor for dps as I see mine is way of the charts there, compared. (But I only have a +5% and 6% so a bit strange it is such a difference… )
Anyways, thank you for the answer
I was looking through the builder link and it seems like some of the skills are messed up on the bar. You have shield throw and i am assuming that hammer throw should be on the bar instead?
Hey boardman, can you help me understand how gearing and the loot filter works? I havent switched an item out since like level 20 and im 65 at the moment. Getting tons of drops, but doesnt seem any of them are useful at all. What is the loot filter exactly doing, and how do you even go about gearing etc
So in short the lootfilter is made both for players at endgame and for leveling from level 1 at the same time, with you having to do as little as possible as you level, however you do have to do something. You need to uncheck rules as they no longer apply to you. In this case the green and blue items become obsolete by your current level of 65 and should be unchecked.
This is a video explaining exactly what i mean and goes for all the lootfilter i make as there all off the same template
@boardman21 Thank you for this guide, I’m wondering if you could update the planner, there are some things wrong such as missing offhand and shield throw instead of hammer throw being used?
so, after disliking javelin i swapped back to hammerdin. current setup (mainly the old gear, but tried some new nodes and stuff)
want to switch to Forgotten knight Sword (offhand) + amulet for the basecrit. very courios about the void rift skill, especially if its scaleable via volatile reversal. there are some insane nodes like 40% inc dmg taken
I noticed under Sigils you have both “Meditation” and “Sigils of Dispair.” I was assuming Meditation was pointless with Despair, is that an oversight on your behalf or am I missing something? Thanks
