The Ghostflame node, Decrepit Mortals, which gives GF the curse tag seems to only add the curse tag cosmetically and does not actually change it to a curse. It does not work with any skills or passives that affect curses. It does not work as a Warlock or any other classes using GF.
Decrepit Mortals from the Ghostflame tree gives Ghostflame the Curse tag. Encroaching Darkness from the Warlock passive tree inflicts a number of enemies with Anguish when a curse skill is directly cast. With both of these nodes, casting Ghostflame does not inflict any enemies with Anguish.
The description of the Decrepit Mortals node on Ghostflame states that “Ghost Flame gains the Curse tag”.
It doesn’t gain the Curse tag. It might be related to me also taking the “Arteries of Malice” node, which also modifies tags.
The Decrepit Mortals node states that Ghostflame gains the “curse” tag. Currently it does not do this. It does not appear on the skill nor does the skill trigger on curse effects (ie: Profane Veil - Stream of Profanity).
Speccing into Decrepit Mortals (Ghostflame skill) does not seem to add the “curse” tag to the skill description, so I am hoping this is done somewhere internally where I cannot see it.
If so, will keeping this specced also allow me to treat GF as a curse skill for Encroaching Darkness and the like?
Ghostflame’s “Decrepit Mortals” does not work as described: GF does NOT receive the “curse” tag, GF with Decrepit Mortals does not trigger Profane’s Veil “Stream of Profanity” (tested in-game vs. casting Cthonic Fissure).
