On a SSD, no pc issues besides being a bit old, but well within recommended specs, updated graphics card, bottomed out graphics, fresh install, repaired, restarted, ran as admin. nothing worked. turned off my VPN and it loaded almost instantly.
I’m really no computer genius, no idea what the 2 would have in common if anything at all, but i’m just a dude from florida trying to goon and game so just want to pass this a long to try and make that happen for myself.

Look like lots of people are having this issue but they don’t seem to care. I know for a fact this game worked with a VPN beginning of last season. Every other online game I play doesn’t have this problem. I’m using ExpressVPN
I’m running it with VPN on. No problems at all.No split tunneling. Maybe your VPN provider blocks ports needed?
Same thing for me, used to work fine with ExpressVPN. Nothing changed on their end. This season it just fails at loading zones. When I turn off VPN it works flawlessly. I don’t do split tunneling as I can never get steam to work with it. Hopefully they find a fix, I prefer to play with VPN on.
I’m encountering issues while running my VPN now, but it was working 2 days ago. I can log in and see my online characters, but when I attempt to play them I get an infinite load screen (eventually times out, no crash). Offline characters work fine.
I had split tunneling running the whole time, and it’s functioning for the other apps I’m using it with. The only thing I can think of is that EHG has gone out of their way to specifically block access from the ip addresses that the VPNs are supplying? Maybe there was a ddos and they went overboard?
Wouldn’t be an issue if I could just migrate my lvl 95 character to offline, and I’ll know better to never interact with online again, but this shouldn’t be an issue in the first place.
NordVPN user and quite bluntly this is bullshit. i could play the past week with split-tunneling excluding last epoch, but now not even that works and i have to completely turn off my vpn service.

I can understand if they don’t want players using a VPN with their game, but split tunnel should work. They are even blocking it in obfuscated mode which means that they are specifically doing this on purpose.

I have NordVPN but have to turn it off for it to even work or else the character screen is just endless. Tried tunnel split for both steam, last epoch, chrome etc but never got anything to work. Something is happening on their end presumably?
Has there been any headway here? Stuff worked fine at the end of April 25;, but now split tunnels won’t work. Was working fine for well over a year, but with no word from EHG, the playerbase is gonna assume a negative reason for this.
