I know this has been an ongoing issue for a while that I had at launch but fixed and it stayed that way for a few months, the issue has resurfaced and I can’t fix it using the means I did previously. Basically if I start the game through game mode or desktop mode on my Deck it won’t start, it stays on the Steam loading screen and never loads the login screen.
I have tried to uninstall the game and install it again, I have verified the files and I have tried to change the Proton to Experimental which fixed it last time I had an issue. None of this loads the game. The game will load correctly after the update on my laptop and it streams to my Deck just fine but I can’t natively get it to load… I have not played he game since at least a month since the recent update so I don’t know if this was an issue prior to this recent update, any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
I‘m experiencing the same issue here…tried different Proton versions without ang success

It’s a real bummer because I hear that there are lots of good things in the new update.
It is very nice! I play LE primarily on my PC but wanted to play it on the go as well…
Hopefully, EHG can fix the issue with the Steam Deck.

Didn’t try yet on my steamdeck, but on my arch linux PC, sometimes, the game doesn’t start, I have to kill it and relaunch 2 to 3 times, and then it’s all good.
Came here to check if someone else had the issue.

There was a fine a few months ago where I’d have that same issue and a simple “turn it off and on again” worked fine. This time is different, nothing I do opens the game. I actually tried loading the game through the desktop app and it didn’t open there either.
Just tried full offline mode on my steamdeck since maintenance is currently going on, game is launching, took a bit of time.

What are the console settings you are using like what proton and such are you using? (I’d like to relocate a functional setup to try and troubleshoot further) I have had my deck off for a couple days maybe that will have helped.
I did an online echo on the deck after the update, I used nothing specific, just proton experimental no launch command.
Performance was a bit underwhelming, on low, I got ~30FPS and small stutter or mini roll back, it’s not 100% smooth but playable, on some map with lots of mob, it could be even worse.

Update, as of last night after I turned on the deck from 2 days being off there was a forced LE update. I started the game and it opens up, hopefully it stays functional.
