Game stuck after Character Selection

Hi,

I’ve been playing lately just fine and today I can’t get past character selection screen anymore :confused:
Only thing that changed on my PC is that I installed some other games in Steam?

Could you do anything to help?

Hey there. Welcome to the forums.

The logs you provided abruptly end without any debug messages - this usually happens when the game freezes due to some sort of external factor. Unfortunately, it means that there is no information to go on.

Its unlikely that the installation of other games may have mesed with LE.

Please can you View Reliability History on your system and see what has changed in the timeperiod that you could and now cannot get past the selection screen. Its very possible that a windows update or similar could have occured and is now causing a problem.

General things to try:

  1. Reboot your machine and then load up steam and verify the LE game files. (Reboot is important)

  2. Check your Windows updates for any required updates or failed ones that need correcting. Especially anything that happened since you last played successfully.

  3. Your GPU driver is recent, but do you recall if you installed it with a CLEAN install or an UPGRADE? Upgrade installs can sometimes not correctly install. If you did this with an upgrade install, please reinstall with a Clean install to be sure.

  4. Without any info from the player.log its hard to guess but there may be something wrong with a savegames. As a test, backup your saves folder and then remove all the saves while the game is not running - then try and load it and try and create a new char to see if it gets you further.

  5. Dont run anything else while testing LE, disable or dont start anything temporarily to see if there is a possibility of it causing issues. Doesnt matter how irrelevant you think it is, just dont run it to see.

  6. Lastly. You dont provide your settings so I cannot see what config you are trying to use on LE… As a test if this is performance related, please set the game to the following settings temporarily - 1080p, 60fps framerate limited, all settings disabled or on Very Low. if the game works at this config, then its likely that you will need to be conservative with your game settings to improve stability.
