Game opens and runs until i move about 1 full screen after killing something - then consistently freezes and crashes

Hi,

I’ve just downloaded the game yesterday and trying to play, but it keeps freezing and crashing.

When i first loaded the game i was able to make it to the first village - i hadn’t changed any of the settings (except maybe exclusive vs windowed fullscreen).

As the game wasn’t running smoothly for me i dialled down the graphics settings to low on everything. Then when I moved about half a screen the game froze and crashed.

I kept reloading the game, restarting my pc, etc, but this kept happening so i started a new character.

Now i can kill the first pack of enemies fine, then if i get close to where the 2nd enemy is the game freezes and crashes. If i kill that 2nd enemy from a distance its fine, but if i get to where the enemy spawned, it freezes and crashes.

If i kite the first couple packs its fine, but as soon as i kill something and move it freezes and crashes

I uninstalled and re-installed but the same thing keeps happening.

I have now set everything to very low and still having the same issue.
ive included all the files that i saw linked in other crash report posts.

Let me know if there’s something i’ve messed up in the settings or if my computer is simply too potato for this game.

Thanks, Toby.

Hey, Welcome to the forum…

Sorry you are having hassles with the game…

LE is still in EA so there are performance issues, for everyone, but especially noticable on older hardware like yours so you have to be fairly conservative in your expectations…

A quick check of the info you provided shows that you are using integrated graphics & dedicated graphics and that if DxDiag is correct, then graphics drivers are very very old - 2017 and 2016… far too old for any recent game…

Please can you make 100% sure that your system is up to date on all drivers (for everything, not just graphics card) and patched properly…

Once that is done, make 100% sure that LE is running using the dedicated graphics HD7500 series and NOT the integrated Intel graphics… Very important to do this.

After that, set everything to its lowest graphic settings and limit the framerate manually to your monitor Hz or use vsync. Make sure you are not running anything else in background while playing as this can greatly affect your stability and performance.

thanks very much mate, i’ll check it out.

I do keep my drivers upto date with the graphics card, so Ill try to make sure that LE is using the graphics card.

Thanks again.
