Hi, I haven’t played for a couple of months (since ~April). I have come back and now whenever I log in and select a character to play, the game crashes. Here are my relevant files:

Please verify the game files through Steam… There have been LOTS of updates and steam has not always done the updates well - verifying the game files will make sure on that front…

Your OS needs an update. its on 19041 and there is 19042/3.

Your Dxdiag reports a Crashed in Direct3D and is unable to provide a lot of the standard data that it does… Lots of Unknown entries like it cannot tell what Graphics driver you are using). This is not good and has nothing to do with LE… I would suggest that after updating you run System File Checker to make sure the system files are all ok.

Check your graphics driver (I obviously cannot now) is something recent… Doesnt have to be the latest and greatest as these tend to be unstable… something from the last 3 months should be ok…

You didnt provide your in-game settings but temporarily set your in-game settings to 1080p, 60fps framerate limited (must have it enabled and not vsync) with all in-game settings to very low or disabled… You can do this before chosing a character… This “default” is the most stable if there are graphical problems so its a good thing to use if you are having hassles.

Your dxdiag diagnostic section at the end doesnt show any problems other than LE… so thats a good thing… I would still check the Windows Error logs and see if there is anything the system is unhappy with…

Temporarily, dont run any apps and disable anything normally running - just to remove anything from the equation while trying to resolve the problem.

0.8.2 was a huge update and hopefully successfully updated your saves etc to the new version… As a last resort, backup your Last Epoch folder with all the savegames etc and then remove the folder so that the game resets to default… create a new char and see if it also crashes…
I verified Steam files and that did the trick! I ran the System File Checker and that was also fine.
