I got frequent crashes while doing monolith started today. Everytime I meet champion or a stronger version of an enemy below champion (I don’t know what’s it called) my PC lags and begins to freeze. Need to be restarted.
Is that any relation with controller causing the crash? Have you tried using mouse and keyboard?
What I don’t understand from my side, the crash happened since Saturday. Before Saturday the game runs really well without any crash (as long as I cap FPS to 60).
I found a temporary solution to this. The problem is on my SSD.
I looked at Windows Event Viewer that I got critical error while reading files on my SSD, caused by data corruption:
A corruption was discovered in the file system structure on volume D:. The exact nature of the corruption is unknown. The file system structures need to be scanned online.
So the temporary solution (according to GPT) I did, was to run CHKDSK command on Terminal:
chkdsk D: /f
I still got a few lags when facing double champions, especially inside the tomb.
When the lag occurs and after I killed those champions, I saw warnings on Windows Event Viewer stated:
The IO operation at logical block address 0x388adc8 for Disk 0 (PDO name: \Device\0000003e) was retried.
I will give update again after I’m be able to solve the remaining issue. But for now game runs without crashes but a few lags.
Hope this would help anyone that facing the same issue.
