"Frenzy after traversal" affix duration does not have priority over shorter duration frenzy from "Fiery Overload"

This seems to be caused by the “Fiery Overload” node in the Flame Rush skill tree. Removing those 2 points (2 seconds of frenzy on exit) allows the 3.3 seconds of Frenzy granted by the affix to stick.
I guess I expected the longer duration to at least have priority if not being additive.

I have boots with the new “X seconds of Frenzy after you use a traversal skill and x% increased effect of frenzy on you” affix.
The tooltip shows I am supposed to get 3.3 seconds of Frenzy (T6). The duration in game is only 2 seconds though when used with flame rush:

When using teleport instead of flame rush the duration is fine. Is there some interaction with flame rush being channelled which causes this? If so is it intended? Even when holding flame rush until it cancels automatically I do not get frenzy for longer than 2 seconds.
