Just learnt of the deletion of my previous thread.
To the peeps who reported my post: hats off to you. You are EHG’s Collaborators & Yes-Men and will always be. You’ll always be kowtowing to a higher authority no matter what.
To EHG’s anonymous moderator: it takes some zeal to delete a humorous and absolutely harmless post. Well done buddy!
Now, collaborators, do as you’re told! Report this post too!
You’re not noting behaviour, you’re assuming it based on the belief that anyone who doesn’t agree with you is a “collaborator” (because EHG is an oppressive regime).
What do you call a person who intentionally views harmless words as hostile / malevolent towards the powers that be, then proceeds to inform them of the aforementioned words?
None of the finks have provided a precise reason to report my previous thread, nor have they posted on this new thread about the reasoning behind that decision.
No further information or details from the moderator involved either (pick one out of 18). Only a vague automated message: Flagged post removed by staff. How convenient! Everything is so much simpler when you do it this way.
One last thing: carry the circlejerk on by liking astonishingly clever posts such as “alright tinfoil hat man”!
Not having seen the thread or remembering it if I did, there are other options than malice, the most obvious one being that they thought you were being a dick & your “harmless words” weren’t in their point of view. The people who flagged the thread could even not have posted in it, you don’t have a clue because that’s all anonymous.
From prior experience, you’ll get whatever generic response was loaded into the system. If you want to understand why it happened you’d need to PM a mod & ask, but calling them names over multiple posts is unlikely to make them particularly sympathetic, they are human after all.
I’m just calling a spade a spade from the information to hand.
I had very strong stances over the years and ran my mouth and there were only two times when there were issues. Once about I state something obvious about cheating and about gender related stuff of playable toons.
Seems more then fair to me from my point of view. IF people arround here flag a comment there is most likely a reason for it. Stuff like people posting stuff that could be called spam in general instead of offtopic is neough most likely so the thread get moved… just to make a rendom example.
If enough people are against what you say they look into it and if they dislike what they see it’s their choice to handle it how they want becauce they own this place.
Being a dick? Talk about a simplistic conclusion, especially when you didn’t read the thread. It was merely a begign satirical post about an hypothetic LE expansion, written in a basic CM-style form. May have offended the delicate EHG’s Yes-Men.
On a side note, using EHG’s assets and editing them is not prohibited by the community guidelines, as most LE content creators do it. Here’s their press kit: https://lastepoch.com/media
It wasn’t my intent to impersonate EHG. It was pretty blatant, judging by the post and art.
Lastly, as you said: finks didn’t bother posting and simply pushed the “flag / report” button.
I’m just calling a spade a spade from the information to hand.
The way you call out to me for calling a specific moderator “names” then proceed to implicitly call me a “tinfoil hat wearer”, put another way: a paranoid is quite interesting. The double standard is strong.
Have you read the thread in question?
It wasn’t moved but got straight up deleted after around 2 hours (without any precise explanation ofc).
Yeah, EHG owns this place but still, indicating precisely why users got their thread deleted and how they broke the “community guidelines” would go a long way towards transparency from their side. A little reminder: 18 moderators.
Obviously. I was merely trying to help you understand, in general terms, why people are likely to flag a post.
In my experience, most people who complain about being banned or having had threads closed or deleted tend to lack the self-awareness to understand that it’s usually their behaviour that leads to it. The mods/devs aren’t particularly precious/snowflake-y & very rarely edit posts let alone ban people. We’ve only had a handful of threads closed & none of them were “benign satirical posts”.
TBF, you are assuming malicious intent where there generally hasn’t been any in the years I’ve been here, so you certainly do appear to be exhibiting signs of someone who’s paranoid.
