I’m not mad, just disappointed.
chill guys. EHG cant say anything that will make anyone of us happy, but theyre trying their best.
whatever it is, i 've had a lot of fun playing LE and it was worth all the money i spent on it.
have a happy holiday.
Paid expansions split the player base. A paid class doesn’t split player base because… well, it just doesn’t.
We get it
Every new response from EHG is getting worse and worse.
Now it turns out that MTX monetization isn’t enough, so they’re introducing a paid class purely for that reason…
Have they ever tried, like… hmm… how to put it… actually making really nice MTX instead of what’s currently in the store?
btw, 22% steam reviews.
Good move dudes
Where did you see the insults and personal attacks? The information is meaningful—the developer ignores the negativity in the community; they’ve most likely decided to simply ignore it because they think they can somehow attract new players.
You’re apparently very sensitive and have never heard or received any real insults in your life.
For example:
Or here:
Sure, it’s not that bad, but it’s a personal attack directed at the people at EHG. Let’s not pretend personal attacks don’t exist.
Not talking about the elephant in the room will make things much worse.
But yeah…you said one line about…
Still doesn’t save you.
You lied in your kickstarter.
Maybe create good MTX to buy or fix year old bugs, but no no no…
it MUST be paid Classes, yeah that will save us.
I don’t mind if this ships go down.
You lost so much good-will.
But yeah, I guess the post is created with AI, too. Looks like it.
You could start beeing honest and really talk about the matter, but you won’t.
Not just say: Oh yeah, we need money.
Oh yeah?
Look at Steam Reviews.
Is it worth it?
Nobody will buy your game now.
It’s only a lie if they had no intention of having mtx pay for on-going development/servers/etc. Having to change plans because the previous one didn’t work (for whatever reason) doesn’t suddenly make the original statement a lie.
They did.
You are completely lost. The customers you call toddlers payed themselfs for a product that was differently advertised then it is right now. If this counts as a toddler tantrum where you are from then please anyone save the real toddlers.
Doesn’t matter if it’s a lie, or a course direction or whatever you want to call it.
In the end people supported a product they didn’t get.
Your badges tell a lot about how much you love this game, I can respect that.
Most people just won’t like what they are trying to do here and I am one of them.
We can fact-check all we want here
-was it a lie?
-will enough people buy the DLC?
and so on…
Something just doesn’t feel right and there multiple points for that.
People won’t care about the details.
I don’t try to make a point here.
But I think it’s fair to be emotional as long as I dont attack anybody.
So yeah, I am frustrated.
Yeah, that’s fair enough & if the all of the “core” features (campaign, all class skills, the 1-2 end game activities I think we’re still missing) had been delivered I think the response would have been different.
So maybe you shouldn’t blame me personally for insulting anyone here? You certainly thought of it well, citing examples of what other people write. Do you think I came up with what to write for them?
I don’t blame you at all. What made you think that?
It was just a general observation.
A lie is intentional deception, so if they had no intention to deceive but had to change for whatever reason, then they didn’t lie. That’s an entirely different story. To call them liars because they were forced for whatever reason isn’t fair.
It’s fair the be disappointed in the change, but please be fair also about the rest of it. And believe me, I’m quite disappointed lately and not just about the paid class part. I’m still not decided on that one as I don’t know enough about it.
And that’s the thing that gets pointed out every time.
The reason is that there is isn’t much MTX in the story, so what were we supposed to be buying?
You can’t neglect your business model and then act surprised when it didn’t work.
The store was pretty barebones at launch, which was THE best sales window.
That armor above looks good, but now it’s waaaaay too late for me to even consider buying anything more.
Had that been the case I would gladly pay for an expansion. I am not completely unreasonable.
Absolutely! I agree with the statement that there isn’t enough mtx for people to buy, there’s not enough variety & lots of people think it doesn’t look good. Personally I’m not particularly interested in armour or pet mtx, skill & portals do it for me & there’s even less of them!!
“In their defence”, they used to say that they wanted to get the game into a better state before selling mtx, which is fair though it seems that their cash supplies didn’t last them until that time so they had to get an mtx system/shop out sooner than they “should” have (IMO). The likely reason why has been gone over repeatedly before so I won’t rehash it.
Hmm, slinging insults and brigading the steam page to be mostly negative, all the while openly hoping the game fails and checking in constantly to see if they are paying attention to you. You want your shiny new toys, and it’s the responsibility of the parents to pay for it, completely ignoring or simply not caring about the fact they don’t have the money for it.
Sounds exactly how a toddler would act.
Well, what did you expect in relation to the reviews?
People bought a product with a distinct premise, be it the several year long lasting one about not getting any functional paid things… or the contractually binding one for P2W (discussion aside, people see it that way, that suffices for this case here) not happening being upheld.
So yeah, obviously you change your review from positive to negative when a buying reason is suddenly taken back. Not to speak of the breach of trust.
It’s something to be treated as ‘it’s a given’ and not to be surprised about it or deem it as outlandish.
It’s a cry for attention. Changing your review because the game itself changed for the worse I totally get, but it’s a preemptive knee-jerk reaction to something that hasnt even happened yet.
Additionally the posts on the steam forums rallying people to do the same literally within the same post bragging about how they want to ruin EHG is not about principles, it’s about being vindictive.
For that reason I have a hard time believing that that the negative reviews are anything less than just trying to kick a man while their are down, or punishment, rather than anything else.
They have stated it. They have doubled down.
Do you wait for a car accident to happen first before you react?
And I’m not reading the Steam forums, not to speak that you point out individuals and not groups. There is no ‘they’, there’s just a few dimwits doing stuff which is not ok.
And that ‘man that is down’ has screwed over someone, and now that person is the one kicking him. So if it’s proprotionate can be discussed… but that something negative happens is basically a given.
You can state the scale is not fine… but you cannot state the premise isn’t.
