Enemies DoT aoe damages are way to strong

And what other game is equal to it? D2 is decades old and they most likely wished for opportunitys to have that stuff back in the day because guess what… D3 had it and D4 as well.

It took you 1.5k hours to come up with this after the DOTs have been nerfed? Okay intresting ^^.

If you do so the game will be dead. You tell nothing but “Me WaNt DoT rEmOvEd Me NoT lIkE dOt!”. you come up with no solution but “remove!” what would make a braindead easy game baby mode while people already complain that the game is to easy.

if they remove DoTs and add oneshot mechanics to keep people awake people would riot. That’s the only Idea I could come up with to compensate. I still think DoTs are a very good thing in LE because they fuck up Glass Cannon builds hard.

I’m pointing out that play time doesn’t change anything. Dots were nerfed but they are still a problem. We aren’t close to where we need to be yet. Lets hope EHG fixes the current problems with Dots/Aoe and creature design so combat is far better.

This makes no sense. You are saying we need badly designed combat and screen vomit for a good ARPG? No one thinks that way.

I said remove 90% of Dots and Aoe to create interesting combat. If you are going to just ignore the detailed responses I’m giving you then no need to keep discussing this. I already explained how to fix creature design and mob layouts on maps.

Me, a player new to this game currently doing timelines with 900 hp and no crit avoidance, looking at this thread with great despair anticipating what is to come.

Like man everything can already oneshot me if I do not clear it, just how bad will corruptions be?

Rn I am just farming a few legendaries that transform this build into a much better one, but surviving is a struggle still with 900 hp lmao

It gets very hard but you choose when it gets hart and you do it step by step. Farm your Equip and when you feel ready turn it up.

RN everything dies super fast, even bosses and thats with me missing a couple of key legendaries that elevate the build to insane heights, so I feel confident.

But the survivability is not really going to get any better until I get Atlaria rings and yeah…good luck farming that…

Just wanna say I’ve had 2 champion enemies on a narrow corridor and laser beamed me on both sides, there were nowhere to run and evade to, it melted me in a fraction of a second. big sad :frowning:

Why do you need ecpecially those Rings for Survivability? Most Times (til Mid Endgame) exalted Stuff can do the Job.

I don’t feel like it’s bad globally but some of the new things appear to be too deadly. Especially the effects from possession - they seem tuned like they’re a normal ability but they get cast for free with no enemy animation and on top of whatever else that enemy does so they’re kind of ridiculous. Stuff like the erased witch beam repeats so fast that if you can’t be out of range you need to be moving constantly as there’s almost no space between attacks and it deals very high damage even at 100-150 corruption.

It’s really weird to be able to eat highly telegraphed Harbinger attacks and not care but some random fast projectile from a champion or possessed enemy one or two shots me.

I find that it takes a pretty significant investment to be able to endure dot damage in high corruption. Otherwise you have to anticipate and completely avoid it. I believe this was designed intentionally. Though I would think adding even more measures to counter dot damage would be a good call.

With the introduction of Majasa’s Shield, and the enchants for idols there is a little help. Though I do find that on builds such as Rogues and Mages it is a little too inaccessible. Nice topic, hopefully in the future we see this addressed. Maybe with a new affix that targets this with ward and dodge to a similar degree as armor.

Well good news last patch fixed some Dots.

That necrotic Dot on the fateweavers were annoying same with that void Dot some champions were doing 1,000’s of damage.

Now they just gotta fix the Ghost champion Aoe which is sometimes invisible that 1 shots you. The above at least is a huge improvement. Thanks EHG.

Before this patch, Tundra Stalkers (and mobs like them) were absolutely insane with their “attack” that’s actually a super fast DoT. After this patch, they’re just a little less insane (but still rough).

He presents himself as an uber player who can easily farm 10k corruption nekkid with his eyes closed, denegrates anyone who doesn’t agree with how he plays, refuses to back up his arguments with anything more than a “trust me bro I can push corruption with my eyes shut” & yet apparently prefers to complain rather than overcome. I’d have expected a “player of his calibre” to do the latter.
