Eleventh Hour Games Community Engagement

While we’ve been creating new engagement opportunities for a while that we can’t wait to share with you next year, it’s important to us to reach out to our players to understand what they want to see more from us. Please share your thoughts with us by completing this form. Your voice has an opportunity to shape what we bring to you in 2026 and beyond!

We’ll be letting this survey run until December 23rd. That doesn’t mean you won’t be able to continue to offer your ideas and suggestions; that’s just when we’ll be taking the results to formulate our next plans with.

One thing I always find fascinating are dev blogs about how a feature or skill developed over time. And that during the development of that feature or skill how much it changed from its first idea to final result. Also I really like to see things that didn’t work out and maybe a few reasons why something was changed or scrapped.

I think it would be really cool to follow a new skill from first idea to implementation in a dev blog, especially stuff that didn’t work out during the process. I know gamedev is hard, but going into exhaustive detail on what happens for a small facet of a class to be added would be interesting to read about.

Regarding In-game events:
Would like a scarcity mode like PoE Ruthless.
While I hate this mode in PoE1, it seems like LE would be nice to play around with it. The extra content gives way too much loot and trivializes the leveling experience which shortens the build journey in my opinion.

Please add end-game content, but new types. A bit like PoE does, for example, you can add a delve type of endgame, or a Breach. Just something refreshing which let’s the player chose its own endgame playstyle.

İ want to see leaderboard of Corruption level…

Yeah, I especially like when they go into detail about a system they tried to add that didn’t work out, and explain why and how it didn’t work out.

ESPECIALLY for systems/skills/features that players are wanting/asking for. Even if it’s like “hey we’re working on it and have tried X, Y and Z and it’s not working but we’re still exploring options” etc.

My one big other is on the first one “what kind of in-game events would you like?”

A while back there was a really fun LORE hunt. I’d like to see more stuff like that for opportunities to bring more lore to the foreground and also use it to help more elements of the lore to stand out.

Regarding the question, “What kind of gifts would you like to receive?”

It would be nice to have rewards based on our in-game progress, similar to what PoE1 does.

Regarding the question, “What kind of YouTube videos would you like to see?”

I don’t think it’s your responsibility to create that kind of content, but highlighting lesser-known content creators who make Last Epoch videos would be a better approach. I feel that larger creators haven’t really brought much in the long run, as most of them tend to focus more on the competition. Of course, this is just my opinion.

To be more specific for in-game events, Poe 1’s seasonal challenges with cosmetic rewards would be cool and D3 style challenge dungeons could be interesting, where you have to clear an area in a certain amount of time with a premade build and upon success you get ingame crafting currency and stuff.

I think D4’s world bosses bringing together a lot of people for huge boss fights is a cool idea aswell, but probably not very feasible in LE at the moment I would assume.

In-Game Events: Seasonal: IK there was some talk in discord about having like a ‘mid season reset that was tied to an event’. As long as its optional I think it would be good for players looking for more content. The scavenger hunt last time was really poorly ran, and the clues were wrong. So I would encourage you all to make sure someone actually runs it or something before hand. I would also like to throw something like build competitions using specific uniques in a slot/certain slots could also make that mid season event a little more fun.

Steams : I honestly think you all have an amazing setup with Mike on weekly dev streams and teasers. Though it has been a little light this season even when Mike was here it was only like 1 a stream instead of 3+. Having the once a season LORE MASTER stream is also a really nice treat for us lore nerds.

Giveaways : So waaaaaaay back when 1.0 was launching you all had some giveaways for PC’s and it was handled SO terribly no one knew if they won or if you all even gave away all 5 PC’s and it was a nightmare. Please if you actually do some giveaways make sure its fully transparent and you all announce the things. Besides that the current setup with twitch drops and stuff is fine.

YT vids and Blogs : I think just keeping up with what you are doing blog post wise but actually giving us a little bit to chew on when you make them. The Eterra Monthly is great but you can roll all that stuff you asked about into it.

You all also NEED someone that can take Mike’s spot/do these things with him on the dev streams consistently and in ask the devs when he is gone. It is a very stark contrast to when he is here and when he is not.

Not specifically an ‘event’ but the player base is dying for some actual ingame challenges or achievements.

PLEASE for the love of the game if you do official events add better support for community ran events. Custom Ladders, Private Seasons, or even just better Ladder Filters to allow for these things to happen naturally. Most of the people that played pre-0.9 and such heavily extended our playtime because of community events. We had skill restrictions, mastery restrictions, etc. and could sort the ladder by tags, level, arena pushes, and such. Would be nice to have more leaderboards for diff competitions but at the bare minimum bring this back! I’ve asked for years.

Other: promises being kept, free classes. Bring that back and the rest doesn’t really matter, the game will be ok. But without integrity, there’s no trust.

I would love a harder difficulty level. Up until corruption everything feels like it’ll die just by breathing on it. Secondly I think end game needs more than just the current monolith system. Right now the monoliths just feel like a relative chore. I hate to bring poe2 into this simply because of differences in dev numbers and money, but the poe2 endgame (it’s still in early access too mind you) is already way more fun, challenging and feels more rewarding because you’re collecting currency and things that’s you will use once you reach max level. Lastly I think the game needs more uniques that provide synergies between abilities. Thanks for letting us share our opinions on the matter!

your in luck next season mechanic is basically breach

Same here

Something that provides a lot of motivation for me in PoE and D4 is completing seasonal objectives like going 40/40 challenges or getting all of the season journey thing done in d4, definitely something I’m missing in LE and PoE2

i think this kind of survey is impoirtant and a good edition to be had for the dev team.

in streams i said other and what i mean is highight a creator or have interviews with creators work together with them on stuff to promote the game more. the game has just not enough promotions at all and we dont hear from the team reguraly enough so there is no hype and it just dies down before launch.
you need more community managers that work on diffrent things.

giveaways could be fun any sort of giveway is always fun to do but i dont think thats what people need in general right now.

we need more youtube videos as well lore videos could be cool but most people play the game because of the loot. check what other games have done before learn from those and you will find plenty you could do.
more blog posts is cool but putting those in videos are even better

these are just some of things we need. plz just do more towards the community. i hope this can really be the beginning of a more open development and communication with the players. but yeah just smore social media presense is needed the most

In-game seasonal challenges/achievements with special cosmetics or enhancements tot eh seasonal mechanics outside of the weaver tree would be awesome and would probably motivate me to stick around longer each season.

A potential concern, I guess, could be FOMO for the people who can’t play that season, but maybe the cosmetics could be made available in the shop at a later date (e.g. two seasons later) or something.

‘What kinds of gifts would you like to receive’
Umhhh… ‘Yes’? :joy:

In-game events:
Basically everything, variety and regularity is key here. Some will inevitably fail… but by trying to get several going it soon enough crystallizes out which ones are well received.
Engagement is good, keeps things interesting even during downtimes.

Stream:
Development… knowledge about the game, if I wanna see someone playing the game I’ll watch a streamer which focuses on gaming. Nice to see… really not important though, that’s what at least I wanna see from the company. Info.

Edit since it’s important:

Provide relevant info like Lore, teasers, trailer and so on here in this Forum as the primary source.
Lock threads properly when they’re outdated so they can’t be bumped, nes and announcement section both. Keeps chronology alive.
