Dummy scaling HP and regen

Hi, just wondering if it is an intended design choice not to have dps meter on the dummy?

If so, can we have the dummy scale its HP and regen to the player’s level? This way we still have an approximate way to check dps. At the moment, the HP bar does not budge at all, making it hard to compare different equipment and builds.

I am not a big fan of dps meters, but having something to measure your TTK (Time-To-Kill) is a great way, so doing thise via the trainigns dummy is a great way.

I suggested this in several other posts already.

Marvel Heroes had 3 different Dummies, that had different amounts of fixed HP.

This way you could measure for burst dps and sustained dps.
The lowest dummy usually was not a good reference point since you killed it in like a few seconds.
The medium one had hp, that needed like 10-20 seconds to kill and the highest one, you needed like 2-3 minutes to kill on average.

This was a great way of comparing yourself or a different variation of your build to see if you are roughly in the same ballpark, without having exact “DPS” numbers.

I just have very negative experience with any accurate dps meter in MP games, since it does cause a lot of toxicity.

A “dummy park” only meter would be nice thou. Marvel Heroes did a good job but to realy minmax stuff you need to see what dmg is skill X doing about Y time period. I’m a trial and error kind of person because sometimes stuff get’s better results then it looks on paper.

A DPS meter is still the best way to improve when it’s done in a good way.

I don’t mind a dps meter as long as it’s not for the entire group or not even available in combat zones except the designated training areas.
But a dummy with fixed hp is just way easier to imement and still sufficient.

Man Heavy, you really have a disdain for DPS meters. Bad memories from MMo’s or something? :stuck_out_tongue:

It just creates unnecessary toxicity with people flaming low dps in public parties and people will start something like: “LF dps, minimum 100k dps”

I am totally fine with having a good measurement for self improvemt, but as soon as it comes to Multiplayer and party play I don’t have good experiences from a variety of different games across different genres.

In MH we took only people with us who killed the dummy in at least 1:30 ^^. That’s the same thing.
