Dont punish people who want to respec

They don’t care.
So I don’t care.
I don’t want my two choices to be “read a guide” or “brick your character over and over while you learn” ROFL.

But yeah its 5 minutes when you are late in the game but early on its more like 15-30 minutes. If it was just as easy to catch up the skills when you are EARLY in the game as it was when you are LATE in the game, I don’t think most people would have an issue honestly. When I’m level 90+ its super fast to pick up the levels back to 20. When I’m level 20 though, it takes forever for it to get back up to level 6 or whatever lmao.

it takes less than 20 minutes to level back up to 20 in my experience

Just I explain you cant compare checkers with chess, LE its a super casual friendly game with a bad respec system, POE its a hardcore game with several mechanics around respec.

Overall the game its in beta, its have tons of problems, bugs and need change so many things, looks like they launch the game unfinished just because its the time window before poe league and poe2 beta arrive.

Yes theyre the LE defender troop and theyre in every thread with damage control and copypaste “the game isnt for you leave”. This forum need strong moderation and ban this trolls.

Exactly, I can agree absolutely with that.
The early game is a bit slow in catching back up, it’s when the system needs it the most though.
So adjusting the speed the skills are acquired early on needs simply some work… then all’s fine.

But not an outright removal of the whole system as OP demands.

I think the foremost question should always be if a system benefits the game.

And i feel the answer is - not really at the moment.
Late Game respeccing is almost instant - you run 2 nodes - done
Early Game it takes quite some time.

And the only positive thing about the system is “maybe” stopping people from changing their build before every boss. Which again would also be the case if you only need about 1 “map” of enemies to relevel everything in the early game instead of several.

I personally would not mind the whole removel of the current system and simply restricting
it to only in towns and auto closing your open portals.

But speeding the system up to be on par with the late game speed. About 3-4 mins would also be okay.

This promotes trying out more builds. Ad hoc experimentation. Will make newer players have a better time trying out things.

Not everything needs to have friction in a game.

But if im missing something let me know.

Yes, I agree with this. In one of the other (countless) threads I had suggested raising the minimum level sooner so you have more points when respeccing in early campaign. I still don’t think it’s an issue with the system itself, even at earlier levels, but rather one of perception. Players that try it early on get a negative impression when they see their levels going down, but when they keep playing the game they end up realizing it’s not that big of an issue.
But higher minimum levels early on would minimize that initial negative impression.

Maybe that can be explained by the fact that most Skills in LE are locked behind those passive points, so it makes total sense to work this way.

I agree It’s kinda annoying, specially if trying to allocate all points in a completely different way (which is kinda pointless… Even if you change all your specialized skills, you’ll hardly be able (or even want) to allocate all 115 points in completely different nodes, no matter the class or mastery).

With that being said, one should never be able to respec the entire LE passive tree in such way it will cause all their skills to also be de-specialized. It would be a total mess, and probably a black-hole of bugs to happen, so I gladly take this trade off.

I think most of us will agree that the UI is very clunky and needs a serious overhaul - it doesn’t matter if we disagree on the pros and cons of the underlying system.

Yes, this is true. The constant confirmations are annoying and cumbersome, if you want to change some points in the base tree it’s annoying and cumbersome, because often you need to respec some points, close the window and allocate the ones you want, respec a few more and repeat the process a few times.
The respec UI for both passives and skills definitely needs an upgrade.

What’s the investment to re-spec a 6-link, with 3+ off-color slots? Certainly more than the 10-15 minutes it takes to re-level a skill in LE.

I mean, all this talk about “simply buying gems” or “just using regrets” just simply ignores the investment to get the required currency… or that every player is just sitting around with a surplus 50+ divines in their stash.

Yeah that’s the thing. Late game is the way that it should work early game too. Early game even moreso because you are doing a lot of experimentation in the early game.

specially because the UI have a terrible mapping, for pick some affixes in the forge… my god, for close some windows you need to pick 1 inch under de X… come on, thats stuff its pretty basic, the game come out unfinished.

That’s some bug with the mouse pointer as a whole in my experience - the visible pointer gets displaced to the bottom. Or the clicks sent with displaced coordinates.

After restarting the client, it works fine.

I didn’t realize it until I read other areas of the forum, but you’re right. It’s like a strike squad or something.

Yes.

That’s not what the devs have said, they’re always quite good about never saying never, it’s just unlikely.

Yeah, but in this scenario, LE has the green energy implementation, PoE has the nuclear option & D1/2 are just rubbing sticks together.

And that’s fair enough.

Respect-ing is easy, spelling is hard… Especially on a phone.

yup just like the bug that remove all the loot, leave the game, restart and work fine until you get it again… specially if you play in party youre more time crashing and restarting the game that playing.

Respect the respec spelling errors, man.

No. It’s an abomination & y’all should be in prison until you learn betterer. Unless you’re on a phone.
