Since I started playing 0.9 patch on friday Im experiencing this disconnect while switching locations. Disconnects aren’t regular, sometimes I get to play for 20 mins without one! I’ve been playing in the past (pre 0.9) and never had this problem.
It is online character.

This user found that using a VPN helped
Not ideal long-term, but can be useful in narrowing down the issue.
Give it a go if you can.
I tried tethering (using hotspot) on my phone and ran into the same issue. I just gave up tbh, I’ll re-buy the game when it’s fixed 
Retried with a friend - VPN does not solve any issues, first loading screen disconnects
