I’ve experienced two crashes in a row in the Council Chambers, everything was running smoothly until that point. The crashes also reset my graphics driver (which has been running stably in everything since I updated). Logs attached.error.log (74.5 KB) Player.log (33.5 KB)
It seems to be happening anywhere the effects start to get heavy - I tried turning down my settings to no avail. As of right now, I can’t get past the Idol of Loathing without crashing (and my first encounter with Panion’s Students also crashed).error.log (74.5 KB) Player.log (38.1 KB)
Upon restarting my computer I was able to get past the Idol and the Time Rift, but didn’t make it to the following waypoint before crashing yet again.
I seem to have fixed it somehow, either by reinstalling the game from scratch or reducing nearly all of my graphics settings to medium or low. I’m not sure which but the game now runs just fine.
I did just get another crash but it was after at least a couple hours of playtime, and the error message referenced said that the program tried to reference a blank address (e.g. 0x0000000 or however many zeroes there were). That said a consistent theme of all these crashes involves my graphics driver resetting as well. I’m on AMD 20.11.1 currently (newer drivers break an unrelated functionality for another subset of games so I can’t effectively upgrade until that’s fixed). This is the only game where the driver seems to unstable at all, so I think it could be related to a VRAM memory leak potentially, but I couldn’t say for sure.
Logs attached to be thorough, regardless.
