Hi, i get rather many game crashes on location transitions. Usually like every 3rd to 5th transition is a crash. Most notably Ma’jelka as of now. Got 3-4 crashes in a row.
Playing Lich, Graphic settings are on “High” (have been “Very high” before, but lowering didn’t remove the crashes, so maybe it’s something else … like the new preloading of skills, especially in towns?). Rather strong PC (Ryzen 5600X, GTX 2060, 32gb RAM). EU region (~25-35ms ping usually)
Sorry if it’s known already, but it’s very annoying having to restart the game and re-run all the way from the last waypoint, because the new one couldn’t be saved due to crash on transition.
ive been having the same issue, put the game on my ssd after some annoyance and it helps getting back in quickly after a crash, played some time like this and now suddently i cant even load into any zone it just always crashes
edit: echos work just fine for me, havent tried other content yet, so if your level is high enough you could jump into those temporarily before finishing the campaign
Today i got into Ma’jelka and currently getting into Lagon land … but still had several crashes until here.
I noticed the game is also eating up a huge chunk of memory and maybe even leaks it …? Like, every other location transition adds another ~300-500mb of RAM used onto the already used 7gig and around 7.5 - 8gig the game crashes on the next location transition in campaign.
Memory usage seems to be building up each time you change locations, up to around ~9Gig RAM yesterday (leak in the “preloading of skills” feature?)
with my Lich i couldn’t enter the MaJ’elka location where you have to search for a hidden tomb in the desert
tried like 5 times, always crashed the same way: load into End of Time → portal to the location → crash
My Lich’s skills on the bar were Spirit Plague, Death Seal, Transplant, Reaper Form and Rip Blood
How I “fixed” / worked around it: I replaced all skills temporarily with default attack and i could teleport there without any problem, within a second (while it usually takes like 3-5s on average with a normally chosen skills bar)
